Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Choice (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome everyone, we are talking about intimacy with God and today, I want to focus on this thought that intimacy has got to be a choice. We can relate with God but there are many different levels at which we can relate but when one wants to go deep in their relationship with God, once they have that desire, that is when we can take steps forward to develop a strong relationship with God. As we look at the life of Moses, we observe that he was a man who went after a deep relationship with God. In Exodus chapter 33, verse 11 we read, ‘So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.’ Moses had this opportunity to meet face to face with God. Why would he have that opportunity? The simple answer to that question is because he pursued it. He was the one who was not satisfied with anything less than deeply relating with God. There were people during the same times, the people who came along with Moses, we read that they did not go up to where Moses went. Moses went up to the tabernacle outside of the camp to meet with God, but the children of Israel, they were happy to just experience Moses’ encounter with God from a distance. They would hear the loud encounter, the thunder and they would see the cloud and all that, they would just be ok with that but then here is Moses, who was desiring a face-to-face encounter with God. One other thing that we notice is that God revealed Himself in a deeper way to Moses because of the kind of relationship that Moses had with Him. We read in Psalm 103, verse 7, ‘He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel.’ Here we recognize that Moses was somebody who understood not just what God did, not just His acts, but he understood the intentions, the purposes, the character and the very heart of God. So, God gave him a deeper revelation or if you want to call it, a greater revelation of who He was. The ways of God have to do with the way or the principles of the Kingdom, the patterns in which God responded to various circumstances and situations. So, Moses understood the heart of God. He understood even why God was doing certain things that He was doing during those times. However, the children of Israel were only limited to seeing the mighty acts of God. So, all of this teaches us that when one desires a deeper walk with the Lord, there is also a deeper sharing, where we share who we are with the Lord, but the Lord also shares His heart. For us today, it is so important for us to pursue the heart of God, to go deeper with the Lord; like Moses, to be able to know the ways of God, to be able to know His principles, to be able to know the laws that we see in scripture and many other details, many other secrets that He is willing to reveal to those who fear Him and walk closely with Him and let this be our desire. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that there is this possibility and opportunity to go deeper with you in our relationship. Lord, we pray that we will be people who will pursue that and that we will have a greater revelation of who you are and we will keep moving forward, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
