Shalom and thank you once again for joining in here with us for the Living Supernaturally, where we are looking through a series of blessings in the everyday. We hope that we have been able to slow down, pause and reflect on all the blessings that we enjoy in our everyday. Today, we are going to touch upon the blessing of strength. Very often, when things in our lives go wrong, it drains us physically, emotionally and sometimes even spiritually. No matter how strong we think we are, there are seasons where we may feel worn out, burdened and we are just simply tired of the struggle. Isaiah reminds us of a powerful truth of where our true source of strength is, which is not found in ourselves but in the Lord. Isaiah chapter 40, verse 31 reads, ‘but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.’ Isaiah chapter 40 was written to people who felt powerless and exhausted. They were in their time of exile in Babylon; they were far from home and struggling to hold on to hope. Like them, we also face moments in our lives when things may be overwhelming. When responsibilities, when trials and discouragements can drain us of our strength. God through Isaiah is reminding us that He never grows tired and because of that, He is able to strengthen us when we are weary. The blessing of strength is promised to those who wait upon the Lord. This waiting is not passive but it is active where you are trusting, hoping and leaning on God in prayer and in faith. When we wait on Him, He renews our strength. It is like receiving a fresh supply that lifts us higher than we could ever go on our own. Think of a phone battery, if we keep running it on our own, we eventually run out. Waiting on God is like plugging into the source. He recharges us with strength that is not our own. Isaiah gives three vivid pictures of how God’s strength works. He says, we soar like eagles. Sometimes, God lifts us above those challenges, like eagles who use the wind to rise higher, God gives us that heavenly view over our challenges. Another picture it says is running and not growing weary. At other times, life requires us to be patient ad to endure in the long race and God provides us this perseverance so we don’t quit halfway. And the last picture is walking and not fainting. Most of our lives are lived in the daily walk. It is not dramatic but steady faithfulness matters. God gives us that quiet strength to keep going when things become routine. All of this shows us that God’s strength isn’t just for the extraordinary but in the ordinary things for life. So, even as we reflect on this, we can gain courage to face uncertain tomorrow’s because He is the one who strengthens us. We also discover the joy of relying on God instead of carrying everything ourselves. Remember strength is not the absence of weakness but the presence of God in the midst of our weakness. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are there upholding us at times when we are weary. Our strength comes from you and from knowing that you will sustain us through. Help us to rely on you at all times even when life may seem uncertain and overwhelming, we know that your strength is sure to lift us up. Thank you for this assurance, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
