Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and we want to welcome you to Living Supernaturally, the daily devotion of All People’s church and it such a great joy to have you with us. We are going to look at some basic, fundamental instructions in God’s word, where Paul writes to the believers and it seems like a ‘to-do’ list for the believer. Here is a ‘to-do’ list for us today and we can make it part of our daily ‘to-do’ list. We see this in Romans chapter 12, verse 14, ‘Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.’ Verse 17 and 18, ‘Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.’ Verse 21, ‘Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’ So, three things we see here, that is to bless and not curse, bless despite people cursing and people persecuting us. Second thing is, as much as possible with us, by our efforts to live in peace/ live peaceably with others. The third thing we see is to overcome evil by doing good, by repaying good when evil happens or when people do something bad, to repay with good and by doing that to overcome evil. The Lord Jesus gave this teaching or said these words and we see this in Mathew chapter 5 and these are very challenging words. Mathew chapter 5, verses 43 onwards, ‘You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.’ The Lord gives this very challenging and radical departure from the way of the world and He says this, bless. We know that all of us as believers, we are maturing into Christ likeness and we are works in progress and maybe we are not there yet all the time, but this is something that He exhorts/ commands us to love our enemies. Whoever is bent on doing evil, He says, you love and bless them. Maybe they are releasing curses, maybe their thoughts for us are always thoughts of negativity (may something bad come, happen to you, in your family, in your career), they don’t have anything good to say to us, they are just wishing bad upon us, the Lord says, bless such a person. Release a blessing in their lives. Now, the reason why He says this is this, we see this in verse 45, ‘that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.’ He says, this is who God is and you are the children of the Most High God. The Father sends sun and rain on the evil and good, therefore, you will be sons of the Father, if you do the same thing. It says, be perfect just as your Father in heaven is perfect. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for this very challenging instruction to bless, to bless not only those who say good things about us, but to bless those who curse. We thank you that you enable us to do this and you did this in your life. We thank you that we have you as a role model and we pray that when these things happen, when people are there, when they do this, I pray that you will enable us to release a blessing, to live peaceably with all people and that you will enable us to overcome evil with good. We give you all praise and glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
