Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Be Strong (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Jeyakumar Isaiah

Hello and welcome back to Living Supernaturally, we're so glad that you could join us today, as we look into God's word and meditate on God's word and apply God's word to live a supernatural life in Christ. Today, we are looking at 2 Timothy chapter 2 and verses 1 and 2, where Paul writes and he says, ‘you therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.’ The first thing that we notice here is that Paul addresses Timothy as his son and with so much of love and also respect. He says, you therefore, my son, be strong in the grace meaning increase in strength, continue to increase in strength, be firmly established in this thing. What is it? He's saying be strong in the grace. In a very focused and specific manner he says, in this grace, which is in Christ Jesus, you be strong. Continue to increase in strength, in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. We know that grace is divine, unmerited favor, something that we don't deserve, something that is divine and it's been given to us. Grace is unmerited favor, something that we can't earn but it's been given to us and it's given freely. Secondly, we know that grace is divine enablement or empowerment. The Bible talks about that but grace empowers us, grace enables us, so it's divine character, it's divine enablement. The third one is that grace is divine character. As we consider all three aspects of the grace that is in Christ Jesus, of the unmerited favor that is in Christ Jesus, the divine empowerment that is in Christ Jesus and the character that is in Christ Jesus, Paul is writing and he's exhorting and he's saying be strong in this, be strong in this aspect of grace. He's saying the things that you have heard, as you establish yourself in the grace, in the strength, being strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus, these things that you have heard from me that I have preached that I've lived out among many witnesses, he is saying, you commit these to others. So, first instruction is to be strong in the grace, second instruction is to commit these to others. So, let it not just remain with you. What are some things that you have received as revelation from God, as revelation from the Holy Spirit, things that have helped you, that have benefited you to live victoriously in Christ Jesus, what are some of those things? So, the instruction here is commit these to faithful men, place it alongside commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. So, he's saying to others who have the ability to share it, to impart it to others, who have a heart and the ability to teach others, commit this. So, actively we need to look out and say, what can I commit to others so that it can be helpful to others also whom others can reach? Shall we pray, Father, we thank you, we thank you for this instruction, we thank you that you're instructing us to live in this manner. We thank you that you asked us to be strong, you've asked us to commit whatever you’ve put in our lives, to be faithful and to commit it to others, who are faithful and will be able to teach others. Enable us to do this intentionally every day, we thank you, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
