Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome to Living Supernaturally. We are so glad that you could be here. We are going to look into Gods word, meditate on it and apply the truth of God’s word in our lives. We are studying today some basic instructions found in Romans chapter 12, which Paul writes to the believers and this we would consider to be our ‘to-do’ list for today. If you are making a ‘to-do’ list, add these to your ‘to-do’ list, it is a Christian ‘to-do’ list. It says here in Romans chapter 12, verse 12, ‘rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer.’ In other words, he is saying be steadfast in prayer. Steadfast meaning, be continued, consistent, don’t give up praying, don’t stay away from praying. The Lord Jesus when He was teaching His disciples about prayer, He gave two very interesting stories or parables to illustrate that we need to be persistent in prayer. One is that of a persistent friend and we see that in Luke chapter 11, where this particular person has some guests and he goes to the friend’s house. The friend’s house they have all wound up and they are in bed and he askes them to open the door and asks for bread as he has some guests. The friend says, please go, do not trouble me, we have all wound up for the night, do something else. But he continues and the word of God says that he because of his persistence, the friend will rise and give him bread. The Lord taught this to be persistent in prayer, don’t give up, continue to take that prayer request/ need before the Lord. Being persistent is not a sign of unbelief or lack of faith but it is actually scriptural when we are persistent in prayer, maybe for certain things that we are yet to see. The other story is that of the persistent widow who goes to this judge who is unrighteous and she goes over and over again and asks him for justice in her case. Again, the Lord uses that story to say that men always ought to pray and not lose heart. To lose heart means to become weary, spiritless and exhausted and that happens and we give up on prayer, fellowshipping with the Lord. We think what is the point? Why should I even pray this? It has been years maybe, why should I even bring this before God? But the Lord says, be persistent in prayer. There is something that is happening/ shifting in the spiritual realm, there is something happening to the demonic powers, there is something happening when we continue to persist in prayer. That’s why Paul writes to make this our ‘to-do’ list, to continue steadfastly in prayer. So, today, if you are facing circumstances in life and you feel that you have given up on praying for those things, it is time to pick them up again and not be exhausted/ tired/weary but bring them before the Lord because He is looking to us and saying you can persist in prayer. Let’s pray, Father, we bring those things that we might have dropped off by the wayside because in our journey of faith, we were tired, exhausted and we just left them and didn’t pursue in prayer. We pick them up again today, we make it part of our ‘to-do’ list to continue steadfastly in prayer, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
