Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

by Ps Jeyakumar Isaiah

Hello and welcome to Living supernaturally, so glad that you could be here. We’ve been doing an interesting series on studying the questions that people asked the Lord Jesus and we’ve been looking at the responses that the Lord Jesus gave them. It’s been interesting to know and apply the truth of what the Lord shared.

Today, we are looking at one such question in Luke chapter 7 and verse 19, ‘And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?”’ When the men had come to Him, they said, John the Baptist has sent us to you saying, ‘Are you the coming one or do we look for another?’ John the Baptist is the one who talked about the Lord, he referred to the Lord as he was baptizing people in the water saying, ‘the one who comes after me, whose sandal straps I’m not worthy to carry, He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.’

Now the same John the Baptist is in prison, and he has this question; so, he sends his disciples to the Lord with the question- ‘Are you the coming one, the Messiah or do we look for another?’ Verse 21 and 22 says that ‘And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.’ Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.’ This was the Lord’s response to the question that John’s disciples came and asked. In response to the question, ‘are you the Messiah and the coming one,’ the Lord’s answer was simple- look at the works, look at the bodies healed, lives touched, and transformed, they speak for themselves. In Luke chapter 4, the Lord was handed the book of prophet Isaiah and He reads the portion of the Spirit of the Lord coming upon Him, anointing Him to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the broken hearted and so on and the end of that reading says, ‘Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.’ Obviously, he was referring to Himself and saying this is fulfilled, I have been anointed, I have been sent and commissioned for this particular task- to preach the gospel, heal the broken hearted, proclaim freedom/ liberty those who are oppressed and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and that is what He did. That was His ministry; He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil. The Lord referred to this ministry, to the works that He did and said ‘this is who I am.’

The same Lord turns around and commissions us, send us out and says, ‘these signs will follow those who believe: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’ So, the Lord turns around and says this is how the ministry will be for those who believe in me. Transformed lives, healed bodies, and minds- so the same thing is what His expectation is of us.

Even as we pray, let’s pray this for ourselves and say Lord let this be true in our lives, may we see this in our lives. Father, we thank you that your earthly ministry was filled with signs and wonders and miracles and lives transformed and touched and bodies healed and Lord we pray that even as that is your desire, and as we represent you and go as your body and share the gospel, you have said that you will confirm it with signs and wonders and miracles; and we ask Lord that you will do that in our lives as well today and in the days ahead. We thank you, in Jesus’s matchless name we pray, Amen.
