Greetings! Thank you so much for the opportunity to come to you today and spend a few moments in God’s word and just enjoy the word of God and a moment of prayer. We are talking about the benefits/ advantages of speaking and praying in tongues. Today, we see in scripture that it is one of the ways God has given to us, to stay anchored in love. You see, sometimes, we face things that aggravate us, upset us, and irritate us, can make us feel out of love, we don’t want to love, we are upset with people or circumstances. How do we get ourselves back? One of the ways to do is to just pray in tongues. In Jude chapter 1, verses 20 and 21, Jude wrote and said, ‘But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.’ It says here, build yourself up and keep yourself in the love of God. How? Just praying in the Holy Ghost, praying in the Holy Spirit. So, whenever we pray in the Holy Spirit, it is one of the mechanisms or means that God has given to us by which we keep ourselves in the love of God, we stay anchored in love. So, every time, you feel you have gone out of love, unable to love, irritated, upset, angered, bring yourself back, keep yourself in the love of God, pray in the Holy Spirit, just pray. Just step out of that situation, pray few moments in the Holy Spirit and say Holy Spirit help me to stay in love, help me to keep myself in love, I’m going to pray in tongues. What will happen? You will be centered back in the love of God, not only for you to experience the love but for you to be flowing and moving in the love of God towards people in that situation. Try it, practice it, live like this. Let’s pray, Father, thank you for giving us this wonderful means by which we can keep ourselves in the love of God, centered, anchored, positioned in love. Thank you, help us to take advantage, help us to pray much in tongues, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
