Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity once again to spend a few moments in God’s word and in prayer. We’ve been talking about the book of Revelation and today, we will talk about an imperishable body. Revelations chapter 3, verse 4, ‘Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy.’ White shirts and ties were a standard for men who attended church. White robes will be clothes of grace when the multitude that no one can count stands before the throne of God and the Lamb of God. In Sardis, Jesus said there were yet a few people who had not soiled their clothes and they will be walking with Him, rewarded for their faithful service. Not only will these believers be with Jesus, but their names are written in the book of life. Written in the Lamb’s book of life, our names will never be blotted out. The atonement sealed by Jesus through the one sacrifice is all satisfactory before God forever. Why were they white robed? Of course, it is all a symbol, the spirits wore no garments because they had no bodies but their robes signified their character, office, history and the condition. The white robes show first the immaculate purity of their character, they are without fault before the throne of God. Into the heavenly place, no sin could possibly enter and they have brought no sin with them. They are without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, presented holy and unblameable, unreprovable in the sight of the Most high. In these white garments, they shall shine forth like the sun in the kingdom of our Father. Our Lord’s garments in the transfiguration are said to be as white as light. The redeemed before the throne shall shine like stars before the eyes of all who favored to gaze upon their assemble. What a glory there will be about a character of a child of God. Even those who have seen it shall be filled with wonder and grace for what God has done. White robes signify victory, white shall be our clothes, white is the color of rest. What a privilege it is to know that God is clothing us with white robes not because of any work that we have done, but by the finished work of the cross. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for the plan that you have in store for your children. We pray that we will learn to walk in this holiness and walk in purity. We thank you for your grace upon each of our lives. We know that one day, we will be with you celebrating, enjoying in your presence and clothed in white. We commit ourselves into your hands, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
