Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and we are delighted to be able to come to you today as we begin a brand-new week, and we are going to spend some time in the word of God for the next two weeks to focus on this subject- Jesus’s teaching on faith. It is very interesting as we look at the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ, that is recorded for us in the gospels, and we examine various aspects of His ministry- What did He do? What did He teach? What were some of the things that He laid emphasis on? It is very interesting to look at the gospels and examine the life, the ministry, and the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. One of the things that will be very evident as we look at the four gospels is Jesus’s teaching on the subject of faith. We see Him emphasize/ mention/ talk about faith over and over again, in various situations as He ministered to people; the subject of faith comes up in various contexts. What we want to do over the next two weeks, starting today is, put down an outline in a very simple way, Jesus’s teaching on faith. It is obvious that we will not be able to cover everything that He ever taught on the subject of faith in this short devotional for two weeks, but we are going to highlight/ outline some of the key things that Jesus taught on faith which we can embrace as we continue in our journey of the Christian faith.

What are some of the things that Jesus taught concerning faith? Number 1- Jesus taught that all things are possible through faith. When we examine some of the statements that Jesus made on this subject of faith, this comes through very clearly, that Jesus taught that all things are possible through faith, or we can even put it like this that, nothing is impossible to the one who has faith in God. We will look at one or two scripture references, in Mathew chapter 17 and verse 20, ‘So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’ Mark records it like this in Mark chapter 9, verse 23, ‘Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”’ Notice in both these scripture texts, one place Mathew records Jesus saying, nothing will be impossible for you, if you have faith. Mark puts it like this, if you believe, all things are possible to him who believes. Now of course, the immediate context is this, a man who had a boy who was troubled with demonic powers, wanted to see his son delivered from the demonic oppression. The context of Jesus’s statement is, He used the figure of a mountain standing in your way, you tell the mountain to move, it will move; meaning something in the natural which seems insurmountable/ huge/ big/ overwhelming/ impossible; He says if you have faith in God, nothing will be impossible or Mark says, all things are possible if you have faith in God. So, Jesus taught us this and I want you to think about it throughout this day and as we journey over the next two weeks learning about faith, Jesus said, all things are possible, whether it is deliverance from some demonic oppression, change in our natural circumstances like mountains moving out of the way, anything is possible in our world if we have faith in God. Your healing is a possibility, a turnaround of your financial situation, professional life is a possibility, all things are possible to those who believe.

Let’s pray, Father, as we embark on this journey of learning about Jesus’s teaching on faith, may our faith be strengthened, may our understanding of faith be clarified, and may we learn to truly walk in Bible faith because we are called to live by faith, help us O God, we pray, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
