Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

All hail the power of Jesus’ name, let angels prostrate fall, bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all, bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all. O seed of Israel’ chosen race, now ransomed from the fall, hail Him who saves you by His grace, and crown Him Lord of all, hail Him who saves you by His grace and crown Him Lord of all.

Hello and welcome to Living Supernaturally, we are doing a series called Songspiration. We are looking at the songs, the hymns of yesteryears that inspired the church and continues to inspire the church and the lives of songwriters who continue to inspire us in these times. This hymn, ‘All hail the power of Jesus’ name’ was composed by Edward Perronet, who was born in England in 1726. He was a son of the priest of the church of England and he too being interest in ministry, was ordained in the church of England to minister there. He however felt that the church was too formal and too restrictive, so he began to fellowship with two other young ministers of God, who were none other than, John and Charles Wesley. They also had the same challenges of ministering in the church of England, so they began to go to the streets, travel to the towns and villages and began to minister and shared the gospel and establish churches of their times, close their doors to their ministry. This trio started preaching in the streets and people who were searching for a deeper, authentic faith in Christ began to come and gather in the open air, to hear these fiery evangelists. Many gave their lives to the Lord, but they also faced a lot of persecution. In fact, once John Wesley wrote in his diary, today Edward Perronet was thrown down and rolled in mud and mire, referring to the kind of persecution they faced. But out of those times of distress, came Perronet’s powerful testimony of praise, ‘All hail the power of Jesus’ name’.

O that with all the sacred throng, we at his feet may fall, we’ll joint he everlasting song, and crown Him Lord of all, we’ll joint he everlasting song and crown Him Lord of all.

May our lives also be on fire for the Lord Jesus. May we not be satisfied with just a form of religion or go through the ritual of Sunday worship but have a real and authentic faith in the Lord Jesus. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for these songs and songwriters. We thank you for the truth they have proclaimed and lived. Even today, we pray that we will continue to live lives that will testify of your power, of your love, that our faith in you will be real and authentic. I just pray that you will take away today all forms of mediocrity and complacency away from our lives, that our faith will be burning red hot for you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
