Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and welcome to our devotional today. We always appreciate these few moments where we could sit together, spend a few moments in the word of God and pray together. We trust that these precious moments each and every day will bring an encouragement into your life, strengthen you and also enlighten us in our spiritual understanding of who God is, His ways and how He works. This week, we are talking about this subject of money. I want to just bring to our understanding this simple, important insight that money doesn’t contradict faith. Traditionally, people think that if you want to be a person of great faith and trust in God, then we have got to shun money and money has no place in your life. That is not corroborated by what we see in scripture, in fact it is the other way. I just want to bring our attention to a few things today. In Genesis chapter 13 and verse 2, the bible talks about a man named Abraham and it says, ‘Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.’ This is the very beginning part of Abraham’s spiritual journey where God has called him out of his own father’s land or his ancestral land to follow the living God and God picks a rich man to be the father of faith. So, you see God didn’t find a problem with the fact that Abraham was very rich. Not only did God pick him, but if you look into the life of Abraham, we find at a later point in Genesis chapter 24, and I’m referencing verse 1 and verse 35, one of Abrahams servants is speaking and he says, ‘the Lord has blessed Abraham in all things.’ God picked a rich man and blessed him even more. It says in verse 35, ‘the Lord has blessed my master greatly and he has become great.’ God picked a rich man, called him to be the father of faith and God blessed him even more materially as he walked in his spiritual journey. This is a very strong indication that having wealth and riches is not going to contradict your faith, you can be a person who is of strong, devout faith, who loves the Lord deeply and still be blessed materially and know how to handle those things correctly. You find many other examples, if you look at the life of Isaac, Abraham’s son, the bible says, God blessed him greatly. You can imagine a man who already had a great inheritance give to him and God blessed him even more. We read about several people in scripture whom God blessed, who were also people of great faith. ‘The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it', Proverbs chapter 10 and verse 22. Proverbs chapter 22 and verse 4 says, ‘Through humility and the fear of the LORD are riches and honor and long life.’ Think about that, humility and fear of the Lord and riches, honor, and long life, they go together, they are part and parcel of the same life that God has blessed. So, in your thinking, look at yourself as a man or a woman who will be of great faith, but will also be somebody who will handle great things, moneys, and riches for the sake of God’s kingdom, in whatever measure God blesses each of us. Let’s pray, Father, we open our hearts to your truth, help us to be people of great faith and people who will be great stewards of what you entrust us with, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
