Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and we are delighted to be able to come to you today, spend a few moments in God’s word and share a few insights, pray together. We believe that as we present the word of God to you, that God Himself will cause this word to become real in your life and mine, that its not just some theology that we listen to and tune off after that, but the word we hear will produce in our lives, will become real and will become our experience in daily living. Today, I want to remind us, as part of our understanding on mental health that God can enhance our memory, that we have a sound memory. We go back to the same scripture in 2 Timothy chapter 1 and verse 7, where Paul said, ‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.’ We said a sound mind has a sound concentration, sound understanding, and a sound mind also has a sound/ good memory, an ability to recollect and retain learning, knowledge, and information. We need to have a good memory and the Holy Spirit can empower us in this area. I understand that as we grow old, just as our body wears out, there is wear and tear, mentally as well, our mind or our intellectual abilities seem to experience wear and tear, but I want to encourage you and me to believe and receive what the Holy Spirit can empower or give to us. We know that our outward man/ our body is decaying, we know it is growing old, I’m not denying that but I’m saying that while that is happening, we can believe God for the empowering of the Holy Spirit, that the Spirit of God gives us a sound concentration, a sound understanding and a sound memory. In John chapter 14, verse 26, concerning the things that Jesus spoke to His disciples, He told them, ‘The Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance all things that I have spoken to you.’ What was Jesus counting on? They didn’t have pen and paper to take notes, they didn’t have anything to document all that Jesus said and did, many of the apostles themselves were unschooled, uneducated, but the Lord was depending on the Holy Spirit to bring to remembrance, to remind them, to stir up their memory so that they can remember the things He had spoken and done in their minds. Surely, the Holy Spirit can do that for you and me. I want you to claim that for yourself, I have a sound mind, a sound concentration, a sound understanding and a sound memory. The Holy Spirit gives me power, love and a sound mind, my mental health is empowered by the Holy Spirit, my emotional wellbeing is empowered by the Spirit of God who prospers my mind, who restores my mind, who keeps my mind healthy, lets make that our belief and our declaration. Let’s pray, Father, thank you for blessing us with a sound mind, a sound memory, a sound concentration, and a sound understanding, may we walk in this day by day, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
