Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for the opportunity to come to you today, to spend a few moments in the word of God and pray with you. This week, we are addressing the subject of mental health and just talking about a few aspects of our mental wholeness and wellbeing from the scriptures. I want to bring to our attention today as we did yesterday that God can give us a soul that prospers. That is a soul that thrives, that is like a well-watered garden, that is flourishing, that is fruitful and completely whole and well, God can bless each one of us with that kind of an emotional, mental state of being or mental health/ wholeness. 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 23, the apostle Paul, as he pronounces his closing words, we would usually say benediction upon God’s people, he says, may the God of peace, the God above, may He sanctify you completely, set apart, He does His cleansing, sanctifying work and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless till the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. A benediction is pronouncement of what we desire, of what we expect God to do for us and in that Paul says, may God preserve you, sprit, soul, and body. May your total being, of course we are emphasizing the soul part which is the mind, will and emotions, may it be preserved blameless. One translation presents that as ‘be kept healthy and faultless’ until Jesus Christ comes or until death takes us out of the world or until we are alive and Christ returns. As we journey, the God of peace, He is doing His work in us and part of His work in us, is to keep us healthy and faultless, spirit, soul, and body. You and I can expect God to keep us, preserve us and keep us healthy in our soul, that as we journey through life, He keeps us healthy and whole. Similarly, John as he pronounces his prayer and benediction towards God’s people, he says in 3 John chapter 1, verse 2, ‘Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.’ He is talking about them being well in every way, physical health even as your soul (emotional) being prospers. Our God can work in us, to being us to a place where our soul prospers, where we are doing well emotionally in our mental health and that is the blessing, we pray for you and that God will do for you, and we want to receive it and walk in it each and every day. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you work in us so that our soul will be kept healthy and faultless, that we will prosper in our soul, we will have a flourishing, enriched, fruitful life emotionally, whole in our soul, in our mental health, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
