Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for giving us the opportunity to come to you today, the last day of the week, Saturday. We trust that you have had a good week and the things that we have been learning together, day by day, have been encouraging and strengthening you emotionally and mentally, that is what we have been talking about through the course of this week. As we close out this week, I want to encourage us to pursue a healthy thought life. If you want to have a healthy body, we are encouraged to eat healthy, then we can have a healthy body. Similarly, in order to have a healthy mind or a good mental health or to be emotionally whole, it is important to maintain a healthy thought life. Philippians chapter 4, verse 8, the apostle Paul writes for us, ‘Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.’ He is pointing us to think about things that are good and noble. What occupies your mind, is important of your mental health and wellbeing. What you feed your mind with, is important for your mental health. Sadly, our access to information today is in some ways good, but in some ways is also detrimental, if we are not careful to filter out things that are contrary to the things that we read in scripture, things that are opposite to this, things that are impure, that are not of good report, that are not praiseworthy, that are not virtuous, that are not noble. If we feed our mind with these wrong ingredients/ negative things, it is going to be detrimental to our mental health. So, you and I, are responsible for our own mental health, and it happens as we follow the instruction here in scripture, to make sure we feed our mind with good things, with the word of God. Be careful what you expose your mind to on social media or television or the internet, cut off things that are unnecessary, that are not good. Feed your mind with things that educate you, that stir up your mind intellectually, that are good, that will help you in whatever you are doing professionally or other areas that you are engaged in, feed your mind with good, healthy things then you and I can walk in good mental health. Let the word of God be your guide, if there is anything that contradicts God’s truth, that is not honest, not truthful, has no integrity or virtue, that doesn’t come from a person of good, godly character, leave those things out and feed yourself with good things mentally. Let’s pray, Lord, grant us wisdom, so that we feed our mind with good things, that we contemplate on good things, we occupy our thoughts with good things so that we can have good health mentally and emotionally, give us wisdom on this, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
