Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, such a joy to be back together with you and we continue in looking at some of the areas where we need to be enthusiastic as believers. Today, I want to talk about being zealous for the faith. Jude in his writing, in verse 3 says, ‘Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.’ Jude is encouraging the believers to contend for the faith. In other words, he is saying that they need to put up a fight in a spiritual sense, not in a natural sense to preserve. When he says ‘faith’ he means the truth about salvation through Jesus Christ, he is talking about different doctrines that were handed over to the believers through the apostles, he is talking about the teachings of the Lord Jesus that He gave people around Him when he was ministering here. All these things that were handed over to the believers, Jude is saying, you need to contend/ strive to preserve it and not let it go. You need to strive to not only protect it but also see the fulfillment of all these promises. There is a task on our hands as believers, God wants us to contend for the faith that has been handed over into our hands. We have seen in God’s word that He has won the victory on the cross of Calvary for us. We know that the good news has been given to us. We know that we are a blessing to the people around us, to the nations of the world as we take the word and the power of Jesus to them. So, so much has been given into our hands and we as the church, Paul writes about this in 1 Timothy chapter 3 and verse 15, he says, ‘the church is the ground and the pillar of truth.’ He is pointing to the church as that body that is meant to uphold the standards of God’s word and not let it be diluted. As God’s people, we must contend for the right and the truth that has been handed over to us. As a body, we are the ones who must ensure that there is no compromise as far as the standards of God’s word are concerned. We are responsible just the way we find the apostles handing over the teachings of Jesus to the believers during their times; whatever has been handed over to us, we need to hand it over to the next generation and ensure that all of us together are truly working towards the integrity of what has been given to us. In the last days, as we look at God’s word, we know that there are real threats, that there will be new waves of doctrine, so many things that do not align themselves to the written word of God but as God’s people we have to have a discerning heart and a heart that is also determined to ensure that the standards of God’s word are preserved. Let’s be zealous for the faith and contend for the faith. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the mandate which is upon us. We thank you that we are empowered by your word, by your truth and that your body is that ground and pillar of truth upholding your standards. We pray that we will continue to remain and take that position, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
