Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome, today we are looking at some of the scriptures that have inspired the writing of the songs by APC music. And you may have heard of this song called ‘Untiring Love’. Now this song ‘Untiring Love’ is inspired by Psalms chapter 121 and also some thoughts behind it. So, we look at it today, Psalms chapter 121, let me just quickly read through the Psalms, ‘I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh My help? My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forever more.’ Amen. So, the Psalmist starts with a question, ‘from where does my help come from?’ And he looks up and he looks to the hills, now the hills refer to the hills of Zion and Jerusalem and it's symbolic of the dwelling place of God, the presence of God. So, he's looking towards God, he's looking towards the hills, saying from where does my help come from? And of course, the source of his help, the help comes from God, from the Lord who made Heaven and Earth. The creator, the Elohim, the source of all creation, his help comes from him. And the source of all help is God, the creator Himself, the all-powerful one. Verse three talks about how the Lord is the one who keeps or He's the keeper. Verse three says, ‘He who keeps you will not slumber.’ Now that word ‘keep’ talks about protection, He's the keeper, which means He's the protector. So over and over again in this Psalm we see at least six times the word keep is used, that He is the one who protects, He's the one who is the wall of protection. So, He is the one who protects. The beautiful thing is this in verse four, it says that ‘He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.’ Which means this protection is 24/ 7. Now another thought which really inspired the writing of the song from one of the team members is this, that when we see children playing and how the parents are hovering over and looking at them and trying to help them and be around them to help them. But as human parents, despite best efforts, human parents get tired, despite best efforts they lose their focus and concentration; but we see here that our keeper, God our keeper, is the one who's shade at our right hand. It says here, ‘the sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night.’ So, day and night, He is our protector. His love is forever, and He protects us by night and day and His love is untiring because He's the creator God, He does not tire out, He does not slumber nor sleep. So, as you listen to this song, let these thoughts remind us about who God is, that He is looking to us, He's protecting us with His untiring love.
