Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and welcome once again to another series of Living Supernaturally, a time when we look into God's word, meditate on it and find ways of how we can hear from God. Through the series going forward this week, we've chosen a topic on God's timing. This week, even as we delve deeper into God's timing, we remember and we understand that God is the one who created time and He is the one in control of all our times or of all time. We read in scripture in Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 11, ‘He has made everything beautiful in its time.’ God's timing is the perfect moment when He has ordained for something to happen. It's not about our timeline or our desires, instead God's timing is rooted in His plan and in His will. When we as His people trust in His timing, we can be sure He is working. You may be in a season of waiting or have experienced waiting on God probably sometime in the past. Waiting can be very hard, it can be a hard time but in our waiting, we need to trust that God has perfect timing. In this verse that we read in Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 11, ‘He has made everything beautiful in its time’, we find a glimpse of His sovereignty, we find a view of His wisdom and His unchanging nature. This verse gives us the truth about His perfect timing. It also acknowledges that God has a master plan for everything and He orchestrates events in our lives, in the world around according to His divine timetable. So, when we look at that verse, the first three words, it says, He has made; this shows that God is actively involved in everything and also in every area of our lives. From the biggest detail to the smallest one, God is intimately involved. Nothing escapes His attention and nothing is beyond His control. The next words, it says, everything beautiful; He has made everything beautiful. Here we see the promise of God's power, the way that He transforms. Despite every brokenness or imperfection we may feel in this world, God has that remarkable ability to turn around, to bring beauty out of ashes, joy out of sorrow and hope out of despair. His work extends to every aspect in our world, in our lives that turns every opportunity into renewal or into growth. The last it says, ‘in its time’ the most challenging part of this verse maybe this phrase. How often do we find ourselves impatient, longing for things to happen according to our own timetable? Yet, God's timing is not bound by our understanding, He operates according to His divine schedule which is generally different from ours. God's timing unfolds His plan and there is a time for every purpose under heaven and in each season, His handiwork is evident. So, let us trust in His sovereignty, His power and in His perfect timing because when we do, we find peace and rest in the knowledge that He will carry us through. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, your timing is perfect and Lord, we know that you're the one who's created every opportunity and Father, we pray that we will stand to trust your timing because we know that you are sovereign and your wisdom knows no bounds. Lord, even as we look to you, help us to be patient in every wait, thank you for hearing our prayer, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
