Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Trust Me! (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Paul Emmanuel

Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to spend some time together in God’s word and prayer as well. This week, we are going to be talking about trust. John chapter 14, verses 1 through 4, ‘Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.   And where I go you know, and the way you know.’ The words translated trust in the bible literally means a bold, confident, security, an action based on that security. Trust is not exactly the same as faith which is a gift from God, rather, trusting is what we do because of the faith we have been given. Trusting is believing in the promises of God in all circumstances, even in those where the evidence seems to be contrary. The classic verse regarding trust is Proverbs chapter 3, verse 5, ‘Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.’ This verse sums up the bibles teaching on trust. First, it is the Lord in whom we are to trust, not ourselves, our plans and certainly not the worlds wisdom and devices. We trust in the Lord because He alone is truly trustworthy, His word is trustworthy. Peter and the other disciples were not thrilled to learn that Jesus was talking about going away. He knew that He would be soon be arrested and crucified but He would rise again on the third day. Jesus also knew His disciples were troubled and distressed, so He spoke directly to their fears and uncertainties to give them the confidence they needed to stand. Jesus said in effect, do not be upset that I’m leaving you for a little while, put your trust in my promise to prepare a permanent place for you in my Father’s kingdom. The disciples who lived with Jesus on earth had a hard time trusting Him first. Their friends who first saw the resurrected Jesus couldn’t convince them. They were only convinced when they saw Jesus and meeting Him face to face. Jesus now sits at the right hand of the Father and He has sent His Holy Spirit to live in us and guide us here while we are on earth. The Spirit introduces us to Jesus. We begin a relationship with Him although it is a spiritual relationship, it is a powerful and an amazingly real relationship. If you haven’t met Jesus yet, pray that the Spirit of God will begin to show Him to you today. When life pulls us into situations that make us doubt, Jesus reassures us that we can let go off these uncertainties and live with the amazing promise that Jesus has prepared a place, a home for us in His kingdom. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your word and that we can always put our trust in you. Even as we walk this life, we pray that you will enable us through the seasons that we go through, we will put our trust in you and your word and walk in integrity and honor, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
