Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Transformed (Daily Devotional)

Welcome friends, we're talking about being changed in God's presence. We will continue on that same theme; we will talk about seeing ourselves for who we are and receiving the transformation of God in our lives. Today, I'd like to lead for us from Psalm chapter 51, it's that cry of David where he calls out to God and asks God to clean him up. Psalms chapter 51 versus 10 to 13 ‘create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from your presence, and do not take away your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me by your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners shall be converted to you.’ This is David's understanding of his own need once he came into the presence of God. David had sinned God's eyes, but at that time, conviction did not find him. You read that it had to take a prophet to come to David and then reveal his sin to him. But once he accepted that he needed God, that's when the conviction of God began to work in his heart and he knew his need for change, for transformation, for righteousness. This is what happens to us in the presence of God. God's presence is able to help us know who we are and what our needs are. God's presence can help us recognize our wrong attitudes sometimes and bring us to a place where, like David, we cry out to God, and we say, ‘God create in me a clean heart.’ And David is also asking for a steadfast Spirit. He's crying out to God and he's saying God your presence, let that not be taken away from me and he's asking God to return or give back that joy of salvation which he had before he ever sinned. God's presence brings revelation of our wrong attitudes and the things that need to change in us. Now, looking at another passage in scripture, this is from Isaiah chapter 6 and verse 5, Isaiah had the same experience when he was in the presence of God and he cries out in verse five, ‘So I said: “woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the king, the Lord of hosts.”’ Isaiah, when he encounters the presence of God, when he sees the king, he says, I am undone, why does this happen? This happens because we are beholding a holy God, a perfect God, a complete God and when we look at Him and then look at ourselves, we recognize how undone we are in His presence. Yes, as believers, we are justified, we are made righteous, but in our daily walk with God, as the Lord's prayer says, we come before God and say God forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who trespass or sin against us. God's presence reveals are undone ness and each one of us can be transformed as we receive what He is doing in His presence. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you, for being so perfect God and God when we see you for who you are, Lord thank you that we are challenged to raise our standards and to be changed. Lord, we pray that you will give us the grace to continue to become more like you and walk in righteousness, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
