Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you once again for the opportunity to come to you today and spend these few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are talking about overcoming pornography, simple steps we can take to live a life that is completely free from pornography, where this thing will have no influence on us, we can live unscathed and untouched by this. The next thing I want to bring our attention to is controlling our thoughts, our thought life. You see, very often, this starts in the thought realm, the idea pops in your mind, maybe you are just sitting, you have nothing to do, you are very tired or whatever that moment is, this thought comes to your mind, tempting us to go and watch porn or something we know is not good for us, it is controlling us and disturbing our emotions. So, you got to stop it at the thought realm, take control of your thought life. Remind yourself of what of Paul said in Philippians chapter 4, verse 8, he said, ‘whatever things are good, whatever things are noble, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are praiseworthy, whatever things that are virtuous think on such things.’ So, you immediately tell yourself, no! I’m going to think on things that are healthy, pure and virtuous. The bible tells us in 2 Corinthians chapter 10, verses 3 to 5, it says, ‘we need to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.’ So, take control of your thought life. The moment that thought comes, you counter it with the word of God, you say, my mind is holy, I will only think on things that ae holy, I will set no wicked thing before my eyes, I will stay away from all appearance of evil. The moment the thought comes, you respond like this, you stop it in your thought and then, the deed will not follow. Many times, we receive the thought, we ponder on it and then the deed follows. If you stop it at the point of thought, the action will not come, your emotions will not be aroused and you will not do that. So, remember this, stop it at the thought. Let’s pray, Father, we ask that you will help us think on things that are pure, lovely, virtuous, praiseworthy and good and to bring every thought in our mind captive to the obedience of Christ, to keep it submitted to Jesus Christ. Help us to take control of our thoughts and to keep our mind clean and holy, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
