Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

This is my Father's world and to my listening ears, all nature sings around me rings, the music of the spheres. This is my father's world, I rest me in the thought, of rocks and trees, of skies and seas, His hand the wonders wrought.

Hello and welcome to living supernaturally. Indeed, we have so many songs, beautiful psalms and hymns and spiritual songs that we can sing and make melody to our Lord in our hearts, as the bible exhorts us be filled with the Holy Spirit. This hymn, this is My Father's world was actually a poem written by Maltbie Davenport Babcock. This poem was set to music by Franklin S. Shepherd almost 14 years after the author passed away. So, the writer of the song really didn't get to hear the song being sung when he was alive. Devonport Babcock is said to have come up with this poem while going up a cliff and looking at a beautiful view from the top of the cliff, he looked at the Lake Ontario and he would go there, time and again and apparently, he would tell his wife, I'm going to see my Father's world. Now we know that God created this world, the beauty in it, the creativity, the details, the minute things he created, the fish in the sea, the beautiful flowers, the trees, the mountains, everything He created and it's beautiful. Yes, we know it's fallen because of sin, and we know that there is corruption because of the fall, but it's our father's world. Today, as we get into our routine of today's work or maybe study and things become a routine, things become mundane, don't lose sight of the wonder and the beauty of the world that our God created. By faith we understand that the worlds were created by the word of God so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

This is my Father's world, the birds their carols raise, the morning light, the lily white, declare their Maker’s praise. This is my Father's world, He shines it all that's fair, in the rustling grass I hear Him pass, He speaks to me everywhere. This is my Father's world, why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King, let heavens ring, God reigns let earth be glad.

Shall we pray? Father, we thank you that this is the world that you have created O God. Father, we thank you for the beauty that we see around despite the fall, despite the brokenness. Even as we go through today, may we take joy in noticing the beauty and the wonder of it all and knowing that in everything that we see, you had a hand in it, you created something out of nothing and made forth beauty out of brokenness. We thank you, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
