Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and welcome back to Living Supernaturally. It is wonderful that we can meet and look into God’s word and apply it for our lives, to live supernatural lives every day. It is very interesting when we look into God’s word, we see that His word is actually a blueprint for us as believers. What is a blueprint? It is a document, it is something that describes how a certain thing (like a building or a product) can be and it gives the design, says what should go where and what needs to be developed where and what needs to be built etc., it is a very interesting important piece of document. We see that God in the word gives certain images and pictures to how His people need to be and we as the people of God, individually, we can intentionally develop ourselves by the word and by the Spirit of God into these things because this is what He desires for us. What we see is that God’s desire for us, there is a picture in the word, we see that He is the vine, and we are branches. In John chapter 15, verses 1-8, Jesus talks about Him being the vine and we are the branches and how He comes and looks for fruit in the branch and how the Father is the vinedresser who prunes, takes away and discards those things that are not helpful so that the branch can be even more fruitful than what it is. This is what we see here and several important things that we can learn from, so what are some lessons? We see that we as the people of God are designed to be fruitful, we cannot say that I cannot be productive or effective because we are designed to be fruitful, as the branch which abides in the vine. As the branch, we are to manifest the God kind of life, what flows in the vine, flows into the branches, so we are designed to be productive, effective, and fruitful. Second thing that we see is that each of us must bear fruit in our role, function, call, we must bear fruit. We cannot just hang in there as the branch, but it is a privilege to bear fruit as we receive from the vine and do what we are supposed to do, what our responsibilities are and when we intentionally walk in it, we will see that we are fruitful. Thirdly, we see that fruitfulness is a result of staying or abiding in the vine because we receive life from the vine, we receive instruction, inspiration, the word, and the leading form the vine. So, as a result of abiding in the vine, we will be fruitful and we see that this fruitfulness, productivity, or effectiveness whether it is in ministry or our place of work is really birthed out of a place of intimacy, out of a place of closeness with God, out of our walk with the Lord. Fourthly, we see that the reward for being fruitful is actually pruning which means the Lord wants to prune us, clear out those dead things that are not life producing, that cannot produce fruit, that hinder or hamper the fruitfulness so that we can be even more fruitful. We should not be just busy with activity, but we should actually look at how we can be even more fruitful by abiding in the vine. So, today we can walk in it as He is the vine, and we are the branches. Shall we pray? Father, we thank you for this beautiful picture, this beautiful blueprint that you have for us, that we are the branches, attached and abiding in the vine. We thank you that you are looking for fruit and it is possible that we can bear fruit and be productive because you have designed us to be so. We thank you and we want to abide in you so that we can be even more fruitful than we are already, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
