Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for journeying with us through this week, as we are sharing with you the word of the Lord for 2023. We are looking at it little by little each day. The word of the Lord as we shared with us at the beginning of the week- Your blessing is coming, pray through till breakthrough. We are looking at the incident in 1 Kings chapter 18, as God gave Elijah the word saying I will send rain on the earth and Elijah could get a sense of it, he said I hear the sound of abundance of rain, his spirit man could hear, was totally aware that rain is coming but then he had to journey through until he actually saw it happen in the natural. We said that he went on Mount Carmel, he got on his knees, he began to pray the prayer of faith, there was expectation, he sent his servant 7 times, go and see, go and see, go and see is there any sign. 7 times his servant came back saying there is nothing but Elijah continued in prayer and James tells us this is the kind of prayer we have to engage in, it is the effective, fervent prayer, it is the earnest prayer of a righteous man, he continued in prayer and then we see what happens. See, there is a precursor of the blessing, 1 Kings chapter 18, verse 44 it says, ‘Then it came to pass the seventh time, (that means he has pressed passed all of that, he has come to the 7th time) that he said (the servant reported), “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So, he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”’ Here, after seven times, Elijah’ servant comes back with this report, I see something, I see a cloud, just the size of a man’s hand, meaning a fist, just a small thing I can see in the distance. Now, Elijah got excited because he knew this was the beginning, the promise is beginning to happen, what God had spoken is beginning to come together. Many times, we are waiting for the big thing to happen but God sends a precursor, he sends the trickle before the downpour. We need to get excited the moment we see the first drop, the moment we see the precursor, the moment we see the trickle coming, the moments we see that small signs of the blessing, get excited because God works in such manners, that God gives you a hint of what is to come. He gives you a sign, that small cloud the size of a mans fist begins to emerge and you know that you are breaking through, things are beginning to happen and so you get excited. So, look out for the blessing, maybe the precursor to the blessing may happen this week, may happen right now as you are praying and seeking God, as you are praying through, God is giving you a precursor, He sends you a sign, you get excited about it and say, Lord, I thank you, I thank you that your blessing is on its way, I thank you that your word is being fulfilled, keep your eyes and heart open, God will send you a precursor to the blessing, He will send you that cloud, the size of a man’s fist, He will send you the drizzle before the downpour, He will send you the trickle before the torrent of rivers coming your way, that is happening, begin to celebrate the moment you see it because it is a precursor to the blessing. Your blessing is coming, pray through till breakthrough. Take encouragement when you see the drizzle before the downpour. Let’s pray, Lord, we thank you, for your blessing. Thank you for every sign that you give us, the blessing is on the way, thank you Lord, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
