Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and it's our joy, our delight to be able to come to you today and spend a few moments with you, in the word of God and prayer. This week, we have been talking about Spirit filled living, looking at some key insights on what it means to live Spirit filled lives. Today, I want to bring attention to another aspect of a spiritual life from Ephesians chapter 5, verses 18 and 19, Paul tells us, ‘don't be drunk with wine, but be filled with the Spirit’ and then he continues, he says, ‘singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.’ Singing, making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always, for all things to God. Melody in your heart, giving thanks to God. Melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks to the Lord. What is it capturing for us? It's capturing for us a heart that is in thankful communion with God, that you're always giving thanks, you're in communion with God, you're making melody to the Lord. Now how can you do that? Let's say you're spending 8 to 10 hours in a corporate office, you’ve got all these people all around you, you're talking busy on the phone; you’re interacting with people, and you're going about your business, how do you do this? Well, while we are going about our day-to-day business, in our hearts, our hearts are in communion with Gods. We are saying God, I thank you God, I'm grateful to God, I praise you God; this is wonderful, and your heart is in constant communion with God. So, you're always singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, you're giving thanks for everything to God. Your heart is in that place of communion, of worship, of thankfulness of praise, while you're going around, day to day business of everyday life and that is Spirit filled living. So, try and do that, keep your heart in communion with God. Just simple things like God, thank you God, I praise you God, thank you for the opportunity to work, thank you for people I can work with, thank you for that person who was kind to me, thank you for that person who helped me. Just simple things, you're just giving thanks to God. Keeping your heart in communion with God and Paul says, that's a sign you're filled with the Holy Spirit. Let's pray, Father, we ask that you help us keep our hearts in thankful communion with you, that in all the business of life, all the responsibilities of day to day things, our hearts will overflow with thankfulness, with melodies, with one line songs, we just praise to you all the time, help us do that, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
