Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and it's so good that you could join us for another episode in Living Supernaturally. Through this week, we have been looking at the timing of God, of God's timing and we see that one of the greatest challenges we face when we are waiting for God's timing is control and that's what we're going to be looking at, how do we surrender control? Our world is filled with that which values autonomy, self-sufficiency and instant results. Yet as followers of Christ, we are called to a different way of living, a way that is marked by trust, by patience and by surrender. Romans chapter 8, verse 28 gives a profound assurance for those of us who may be waiting. It reads, ‘and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.’ This verse reminds us that even in the waiting, God is at work. His timing is perfect, His plans are sovereign and everything He does is good. But the question comes, how do we surrender control when we wait for God's timing? This begins with trust, trust in who God is, trust in the character of God, the fact that He is faithful and He's faithful to every promise. We must believe that God is good and His plans for us is filled with hope and even when we are unable to see the outcome. When we surrender control, it involves humility, acknowledging that we are limited in our understanding and our perspectives. We may not always understand why things happen the way they do but we can trust God who sees the bigger, wider picture. He knows what is best for us and His timing is always perfect. So, as we journey through times of waiting, let us hold fast to what we read in Romans chapter 8, verse 28. Let us trust in His goodness and in His unfailing love. As we surrender control, let's know that all things are in His hands, our waiting will never be in vain, for He who began a good work in us will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ. May this promise really bring comfort to your soul and strength to your spirit, as you wait for God's perfect timing to unfold in your life. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, I pray that at whatever time when we desire to gain control over our situation, when we become impatient to see things done our way, we will remember that you are trustworthy, that you're a God who promises and all that you promise will be Yes and Amen unto us. Father, even in our waiting, we pray that we will submit and give away our control over to you, thank you Father, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
