Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living
God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.
Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

Greetings and thank you for journeying with us throughout this week in these devotionals where we talking about overcoming pornography. Another very important key for you and me as believers to overcome sin, to overcome our flesh and the wrong desires of our flesh is to stay filled with the Holy Spirit. The apostle Paul teaches us in Galatians chapter 5, verses 16 and 17 and the entire passage there in Galatians chapter 5, it's worth reading it but he said this, ‘walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh.’ So, we live yielded to the Holy Spirit, strengthened and empowered, led and under his influence, then we have the strength to overcome the unclean desires of the flesh. So, whenever you feel tempted, when the thought comes and you feel tempted, you feel your emotions being aroused, you feel like wanting to go and engage in pornography, you say, Holy Spirit, help me! A very simple prayer, four words, Holy Spirit, help me! Holy Spirit, please help me, please strengthen me, that means you are depending on the Holy Spirit that He fills you, He empowers you to say no, to keep your flesh in control. So, Holy Spirit I submit to you, Holy Spirit I bring my emotions in your subjection, Holy Spirit I bring my appetites in submission to you, Holy Spirit fill me; whatever simple prayer you want but lean on the Holy Spirit. Draw from Him, draw His strength. If you walk in the Spirit, you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Those who are Christ’, they have crucified the flesh with its affections and desire, how? By the power of the Holy Spirit. So, stay for filled with the Holy Spirit, let the Holy Spirit control you, let Him strengthen you, let Him influence you and you stay in touch. Keep drawing from His power by this simple prayer, Holy Spirit, help me and He'll help you to overcome and live free from this addictive behavior. Let's pray, Holy Spirit, we ask that you will fill each of us and especially in this area, flood our sexual appetites, our emotions, let them become holy, let them become consecrated, reclaim this territory and let it be holy ground, let every unclean spirit be expelled and let our emotions be in submission to you, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
