Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome once again, we're studying about the Holy Spirit. In Isaiah chapter 11 and verse two, there are different names given to the Holy Spirit, let me read it once again for us. Isaiah chapter and verse 2, ‘the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.’ The Spirit of wisdom is the name given to the Holy Spirit. When we consider people in the Old Testament, several times, we see that the Spirit of God came to anoint them, to empower them to do the work that He had called them to do. Particularly in the life of Daniel, he is known as a man of great wisdom. In Daniel chapter 4, verse nine, Daniel is recognized as a man in whom the Spirit of the Holy God dwells and it is told about him that no secret troubles him and that he is able to explain visions, dreams and even bring interpretation, by the Spirit of God. So, the Holy Spirit is a Spirit of wisdom. We all need wisdom in life’s circumstances, there are times when situations seem mysterious, and we do not know what to do next. We come across difficulties, and we may not know who to reach out to in those moments or what exactly needs to be done, but in these moments, let's remember that the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of the Lord, dwelling on the inside of us, He is also the same Holy Spirit who empowered Daniel to interpret dreams and to know secrets, He is the Spirit of wisdom. Jesus when He was anointed by the Holy Spirit, we see Him walking in much wisdom. There was once when people came up to Him and asked Him about paying taxes and so wisely in Matthew chapter 20, He brings up this question and He says, whose image do you see on the coin? And when the people say Caesar's, He says give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. Where did this wisdom come from? We know that Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit. The wisdom of the Holy Spirit can help us when we need to give a befitting answer. The wisdom of the Holy Spirit can help us when we need to make a choice about our future. The wisdom of the Holy Spirit is very much available to every single believer. How beautiful that we are also given the gifts of the Spirit and one of the gifts there in is the word of wisdom, to bring a solution to any problem that you and I may be going through. Today, I just want to encourage us friends, whatever you are going through, whatever solution you need to work out, why not make a prayer to God and ask the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to be activated in our lives. He lives right inside of us and He's here to empower every believer, which means He's here to empower you and me. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of wisdom on the inside of us. We pray that your wisdom will well up in us Father God, for each one of us, no matter what it is that we are facing, I pray that heavenly solutions will come through and God that we will see amazing and enormous breakthroughs, we give you glory, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
