Daily Devotional church in Bangalore
by Ps Ashish Raichur

Greetings and always a joy to come to you and spend a few moments in God’s word and prayer. Thank you for tuning in to these daily devotionals, tell others about it and encourage them to join us every day as we spend a few moments in God’s word. This week, we are talking about/ reminding ourselves about the importance of declaring the word. The Lord Jesus also taught us the importance of faith and speaking our faith. I will reference one passage here in Mark chapter 11, verses 22 and 23, where Jesus said, ‘have faith in God.’ Then He went on to say, ‘For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.’ We need to take the words of our Lord Jesus very seriously. He said, have faith in God and right after that He is talking to us about the words we speak. It says, you speak to the mountain, tell it to move, don’t doubt in your heart, you believe that whatever you are saying will come to pass and you will have what you say. Look at how He connects having faith in God, believing in our heart and speaking words with our mouth. Speaking to things in this realm, the mountain, telling it to move, talking about obstacles and challenges in our way, speaking to things in this realm out of faith in our hearts. There is an important lesson to learn that the faith we have in our heart to God must be released through the words we speak with our mouth and we speak that faith to the things that we are declaring with. You believe God will provide, so you speak to your need and say, my God will supply all my needs according to His riches. You believe that God will heal us, speak to sickness and say, by His stripes, I have been healed, my body is a healed body. You speak to circumstances, my God has provided shalom for me, everything in my life will be in shalom, I command the winds and waves to cease. So, you speak to the things in this world, out of a faith filled heart, believing His promises. This is what the Lord Jesus taught us to do and if you are ignoring what He taught us to do, what else are you going to do? Who else are you going to listen to? I’d rather listen to Jesus and practice what He taught us to practice. I will speak my faith, have faith in God and speak to the mountains because Jesus taught us to do that. Declare His word and speak your faith. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for your word and for all that you’ve taught us to do and we will practice what you’ve taught us to do, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
