Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, welcome back! We are talking about growing by God’s word and today I want to take some time to talk about the word of God as a seed. In the parable of the sower, we know that the seed which Jesus was referring to, was the word of God. In Mark chapter 4 and verse 14, it says, ‘the sower sows the word.’ The word is an investment in our spiritual walk, the word is something non-negotiable, if we do not sow a seed, we cannot expect a plant to grow and yield the desired harvest. In the same way, if we do not sow the word of God into our hearts, into our lives, we will not be able to see a harvest, which is why we must take time to sow this seed of God’s word. When we look at the passage, Mark chapter 4, verses 1 through 20, where Jesus was talking about the sower sowing the seed, we learn many insights about the word of God and about releasing the harvest from the word of God, I’m just going to go over a couple of them. We notice that God’s word when it is sown, it must take root and that refers to the depth of God’s word, the word going into us which will happen through meditation, spending time in God’s word, thinking about the scriptures which we have heard, it will take root in us and bring understanding of the word of God, understanding of God’s word is very important. We also see in that passage that the word of God, the seeds did not have favorable environments in some instances and so it is important for us to protect the word of God. Whatever seed is sown, we must protect it so that it is not taken away from us, it is not something that will not progress, instead it will grow and yield the results that God has intended. So, protect the seed and don’t be shaken by any form of opposition or persecution. We also notice in that parable that there can be distractions that will not allow the word of God to grow. We must not let the lusts of the world, the cares of this world or even persecution to distract us because we see that all of these things have the capacity to stop the growth of God’s word in our hearts. The other insight that we get from here is the quality of the ground is very important which has to do with our heart condition. When we come to God with a heart of faith, a heart of repentance and humility, the word of God is able to produce and bear fruit. So, I trust that all these insights will strengthen in your journey with God. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word, thank you that it is a miracle seed. We know that as we sow it, we will reap of the benefits and reap the harvest and we will glorify your name through it, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
