Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us to another series of Living Supernaturally. We hope and trust that these series are blessing you and helping you walk and meditate in God’s word. We’ve been looking at a new series of restoration and yesterday, we looked at one of the attributes of God, of God being our restorer. Going forward, we are going to be learning and meditating on different aspects of restoration. Today, we are going to be looking at how God restores our health. Jeremaih chapter 30, verse 17 says, ‘For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the LORD.’ In the middle of all life and its battles, it is very often easy to feel scarred. It is easy to feel broken down and weary. We may all bear the brunt of some physical illness, emotional pain or even a sense of spiritual dryness, but the words of Jeremaih, in Jeremaih chapter 30, verse 17 brings about this hope and reassurance form the heart of God that He will restore health back to us. To fully look at this verse, let’s look at the context in which it was written. Here, the people of Israel and Judah were experiencing very many hardships which included their exile, invasion from other nations and even internal strife, but through the prophet Jeremiah, God reminds them that their current circumstances are not the end of their lives or story. The promise of healing and restoration signified God’s covenant faithfulness and His commitment to His people. Jeremaih’s message came at a time when Israel was in great despair, they were experiencing immense suffering and feeling abandoned by God because of their disobedience, sin and turning away from God. Despite this condition, God offers that message of hope and restoration. In the New Testament, the bible is filled with stories of the power of Jesus, His healing power. We see that the blind received sight, the deaf began to hear, the lame walked, the broken hearted found comfort, the dead were raised. God’s healing nature has been a recurrent theme and He showed us through the scripture of how He is restored us back to health. Jeremaih chapter 30, verse 17 gives us a reminder that the character of God as a healer hasn’t changed even in our lives today. Whether our wounds are physical, it is emotional or it is spiritual, we know that God is eager to bring back health, to restore unto us health. While the promise is God’s, we have a part to play, we must come in repentance, in humility, in trust, in faith that He will do as He says. Are there areas of your life that you are longing for restoration? Maybe you’ve been hurt, the wounds are still fresh, physical illness is there, there may be loss, betrayal but let’s find a peace and a knowing that God in His word has promised to retore us back to health. Let this be a balm for your soul. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that healing is our portion and you have promised that you will restore us back to health. We seek you for what you have done for us on the cross, for the healing that you have given unto us by your stripes, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
