Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us at the last episode of this series on God’s timing. I trust and hope that you’re encouraged if you have been in a season of waiting, knowing that our waiting is not in vain but that a promise of blessing and harvest will be ours. Sometimes, resting can also be difficult, it can be frustrating sometimes when you are in a hurry and you feel God isn’t. Remember that God is never in a hurry. Psalm chapter 37, verse 7 says, ‘Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.’ We are called to rest as we wait on God’s timing, to be able to rest in His timing. The bible says that a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day to God. One of the most useless things to try to do is to speed up God. When we try to take matters in our own hands to help God out, we can get into trouble as we saw earlier with Abraham and Sarah. The verse for today says, rest in the Lord. In the original Hebrew, it can be translated as be silent or stop striving or to quiet oneself before God. It gives the idea to let go of agitation, of dreadfulness or of any kind of anxiety but to quiet oneself before God. The word ‘to rest’ goes beyond just physical stillness but it is a position of surrender, trust and complete reliance on God. Yes, waiting is not easy, it requires trust and surrender, it is letting go of our control and allowing God to work in His own way. But remember that when we wait, we are not alone, He is with us every step of the way encouraging us and cheering us ahead, comforting us and giving us that strength. As you rest in God, when you wait, remember it is an act of faith, it means you are waiting on God. So, let us rest in the Lord today, let us quiet our minds, quiet our spirits, our hearts knowing that He is in control, trusting in His goodness, faithfulness, knowing that His plans for us are always good. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we ask your grace and help that we will stop striving, that we will bring down, move away every anxiety, very reason to fret and that we will rest peacefully in your timing. May we look to you as our source of strength and our source of courage as we rest in your timing. I speak your miracles over your people for all those who are waiting, may they see breakthroughs, thank you for your love over each one of us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
