Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us to another episode of Living Supernaturally, where we bring God's word to you, where we learn together, where we come to really understand and explore His word so that we could apply it. This week, we started on understanding and delving a little deeper into free will that God has given us the gift of free will. When we spoke about last time was God has given us the gift of free will which means that we have been given the freedom to make those choices but with this freedom also comes a responsibility, the responsibility of free will. So, we need to remember that we are not merely passive recipients of God's gift of free will but we are also stewards entrusted with the task of discerning and deciding between righteousness and rebellion, between obedience or disobedience. We see in the Old Testament, Joshua, we see while he led the Israelites, he gave a powerful message to the people before they entered the promised land. This verse captures the call of Joshua to the Israelites to make a decision, to make a decisive choice regarding their allegiance and devotions. Joshua chapter 24, verse 15 reads, ‘and if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your father served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.’ Joshua here presents the Israelites with a very clear challenge to make a deliberate decision about who they will worship, about a conscious decision of whom they will serve. He asked them to exercise their free will but also emphasizes that the personal responsibility is upon each individual in making their choice. Joshua in this verse we see contrast the gods of the surrounding pagan cultures with the God of Israel. He reminds the Israelites of the false gods their ancestors worshiped in Egypt, as well as the gods worshiped by the inhabitants of Canaan, the land that they were about to possess. Joshua shows them the significance of their decision and consequence it carries. We also see how Joshua in the verse makes that choice, he makes a proclamation of his own commitment and choice to serve the real and living God. The learning for us is that God in His love gives us His free will but we must be aware that every choice we make has repercussions for ourselves, for others, as well as for our eternal destiny. It's powerful when we use this freedom of free will well because we will reap the benefits, blessings will follow when we are obedient and when we use the freedom of free will responsibly. So, let us use our free will responsibly, knowing what God desires of us to do. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of free will. Even as you have given us the freedom to make a choice, thank you Lord that you are teaching us to be responsible to decide well, to choose well, to know that what we choose, there are repercussions. We pray that your wisdom will enlighten us, will illuminate us so that whatever choice we make will be in accordance to your word, thank you for hearing our prayer, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
