Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and thank you for joining us at the last episode of our series on free will today. We've really looked into how we can be guided to make choices even as we exercise our free will. Another crucial aspect of using our free will in accordance with God's word is renewing the mind. Romans chapter 12, verse 2 says, ‘do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.’ This verse is familiar again to so many of us, highlights the importance of renewing our minds as a means of transformation. Instead of conforming to the mindset to the way of the world, we are called to undergo a process of renewal that realigns our thoughts, our perspectives with God's truth. Through this transformation, each of us gain the ability to discern and understand the will of God which is good and pleasing and perfect. We see similar verses of this in scripture, even in Ephesians, Paul says ‘to put off the old self which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires and to put on the new’ which means to be made new in the attitude of our minds so that we are created to be like God, in true righteousness and holiness. We see the exhortation to shed our old way of thinking which is characterized by sinful desires and deception so that we can put on a new mindset aligned with the righteousness of God. This cultivates a renewed attitude of mind, helping us even as we use that freedom of free will. It also enables us to live in accordance with our identity in Christ. Again, in scripture, in Corinthians, ‘we are called to take captive every thought, bringing it into submission of Christ and His truth.’ When we intentionally align our thoughts with God's word, we participate in this process of renewing our mind and conforming to His will. The Bible repeatedly teaches us that renewing our mind is essential for using our free will in accordance to God's will. This process involves shedding off all the old patterns and embracing a new mindset being grounded in God's truth. Through the renewal of our minds, we gain the ability to discern and understand His will leading to a life that is transformed, that is characterized by His righteousness, His Holiness and conformed to the image of Christ. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, Lord we ask that through our learning of scripture, through our meditating of scripture, you will help us to put off all our old self and put on the new, shake away the old thinking and put on that which is new. We pray even as we exercise our free will that we will do so with a renewed mind, a mind that is filled with the righteousness, holiness of God so that we will conform ourselves more into the image of Christ, thank you for teaching us, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
