Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you for joining us today on our daily devotional. This week, we've been talking about overcoming guilt and sharing different insights on how you and I can come to this place of being totally free from guilt, shame and condemnation. Today, I want to just invite us to release ourselves. You see, sometimes we even though God has forgiven us, we have not forgiven ourselves. Of course, it's a good thing to hold ourselves responsible for what we've said and done, to take accountability to be strong enough to say, yes, I made the mistake or I did the wrong thing or whatever, we take responsibility but it's not good to put yourself down and condemn yourself and badger yourself emotionally so to speak, that's not necessary, that's not needed, that's not healthy because God, the judge of all the earth has forgiven you in Jesus. God Himself has accepted you. So, now it's up to you to learn to release yourself, it's up to you to forgive yourself and tell yourself, it's all right, yes, I made the mistake but I can do better with the wisdom that comes from God, with the strength that comes from God, with the help of godly people around me, I can live better, I can live stronger, I can rise to greater heights, I can go on to better things. I don't have to keep condemning myself of a mistake or whatever has happened in the past, no! So, you need to release yourself. Jesus put it like this, He said, the first commandment is to love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and He said the second is like it, there's another commandment that's quite important, He said love your neighbor as you love yourself. Sometimes, we don't love ourselves and then that shows up in how we deal with people, we deal very harshly with people, we can't forgive, we can't love, why? There's an underlying issue, do you love yourself? Do you value yourself? Have you forgiven yourself? Because when you do that to yourself and understand how valuable that is, then you can extend that to other people, the love, the forgiveness and so on but it begins by you learning to release yourself, learning to love yourself, value yourself because God values you, Let's pray, Father, we ask that if there be anyone watching and listening, who has not forgiven themselves, who has not released themselves maybe because of something that's happened in their life, today, by your grace and empowering, may they learn to love themselves, may they learn to forgive themselves, may they learn to value and seek good in themselves, something that they can offer to you and know that you who works in them will perfect everything concerning them, that we are created in your image and you value us so much that you sent Jesus to die for us, help us to do that, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
