Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Refreshing (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome back friends, we’re talking about being revived personally and as a community and we've seen that God can come and revive us only when we acknowledge that we want Him to work in our hearts. We will continue on that theme, there's a beautiful verse in the book of Acts chapter three and verse 19 and I will read it from the Message version just for a simpler understanding, it says, ‘now it's time to change your ways! Turn to face God so he can wipe away your sins, pour out showers of blessing to refresh you, and send you the Messiah he prepared for you, namely Jesus.’ We see that in his message to the listeners, Peter preached and called them to repentance. In other words, a life which aligns itself to who God is and His purposes and that is truly repentance, for us to turn from our own ways and for us to turn to God, for us to turn, to yield to the purposes of God. What Peter was saying that day was that if we do turn, if we do come back to God that, one of the things is that yes, God will forgive us, but he says that times of refreshing, times of blessing, showers of blessing will follow. And as believers today, we might wonder, we've already repented from our sins and we've turned to the Lord, why should we once again come to Him with a contrite spirit and a heart that says God, we repent more, we repent further. Well, it's just an invitation for us to commit ourselves in a deeper way to God, to surrender ourselves in a greater way to God, and time and again in Christian history, we've seen people cry out to God and the result as Peter spoke and he said, times of refreshing, when we repent times of refreshing follow. We've seen seasons of revivals that have taken place and as a result, individually people's lives were transformed, people were fired up about God, even more they were taken to greater levels in their experience of God, the understanding of God's character, the experience of God's power. In various ways, we've seen God pouring out that refreshing, pouring out that blessing on the individual and the communities that actually called upon Him. So, friends, I just want to invite us to have that heart cry before the Lord and like all those wonderful men and women, who set examples for us, of seeking the Lord and crying out to the Lord, if we too can go before Him, I'm sure that this God who brings seasons of refreshing, will pour it upon us as well and we too will see everything that I just shared and also a mighty harvest of souls in our own times. This is truly an invitation before us friends that we can turn to God, we can come before God with hearts of great desire and repentance and look for those seasons of refreshing upon us. Shall we look to the Lord in prayer? Heavenly Father, we thank you, that as we turn our hearts towards you, that your times of refreshing, your times of strengthening us, your times of drawing us closer to you will follow and Father, we pray that in our time, and in our generation, that you would pour out these amazing seasons upon us, we look forward to it, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
