Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you so much for journeying with us throughout this week. It has been our honor and joy to spend a few moments each day in the word and in prayer. This week, we’ve been talking about strengthening our inner man and we’ve been pointing to various practices or disciplines that will help build strength in our spirit. Today, I want to point to another discipline which is receiving spiritually through other people. God has placed us in a body, that means we don’t live in isolation or in an island, we are part of a spiritual body and as part of the spiritual body, we minister to one another, we give in to each other’s lives, every joint and part supplies and we give into each other’s lives. So, we must earn to receive spiritually through other people. We see examples of this in the New Testament, I will just mention one or two. The apostle Paul as he writes to the Romans in Romans chapter 1, verse 11, he says, ‘I desire to come to you that I might impart some spiritual gift to you.’ He is saying, I want to come to you and impart something spiritually/ put something in your spirit spiritually. God can use other people to impart strength, spiritual nourishment into our spirits so that we can strengthened. This can refresh us, renew us spiritually, can impart to us spiritually. So, what we must learn to do is to receive through other people whom God has placed in His church, in His body. We can listen to them preaching the word, we can read their books, these days we have so many resources available. Of course, we got to be careful what we listen to and who we listen to. We can’t just open and take everything that comes our way. We got to be careful and discerning. Listening to wrong things is like taking in bad food, it is going to hurt you, so we don’t want to eat bad food. Make sure you listen to the right kind of teaching/ ministry but God has placed people in the church/ body for us to receive and that is another way through which strength is imparted to our inner man and as we hear the word and receive the word even through listening or reading, our inner man is being strengthened and God is giving to us. So, do that, receive through other people, let them pour into your spirit and be strengthened in your inner man. Let’s pray, Father, we ask in the name of Jesus, that each of us will be strengthened with might by your Spirit in the inner man, that we will go from strength to strength spiritually so that in all things, we will grow up to be like Jesus, that we will be empowered in the Spirit to live victorious, overcoming lives and to be able to bless others, minister to others and give into other people’s lives, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
