Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Rebuilders (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Hello everyone, such a joy to continue to study from Isaiah chapter 61. Today, we will look at verse 4, it says, ‘And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.’ We have been talking about the work of the anointed one, in other words, the Messiah, and we know that it is Jesus and Isaiah prophesied that through His life will come deliverance, salvation and all things good.

In this verse, we see that those who have received from the salvation of Jesus, will not just enjoy the privileges of salvation, but that God will empower them to release this same deliverance and work into the lives of others. So, those who have received this salvation, we are told that they will rebuild old ruins. We have a God who specializes in restoring ruins, we have a God who loves to take ruins and desolate things and make it into something beautiful. We can put our trust in Him, we can put our hope in Him and see what only God can do in and through our lives. As we consider this passage, we are also told that those who receive the salvation of Christ, they will repair the ruined cities. When it comes to rebuilding and releasing that same work of restoration into the lives of others, let us have faith that it is not just to restore a few individuals, but scripture is talking about restoring the ruins of cities, repairing the ruins of cities which simply means that God wants a greater impact and God is able to make a greater impact through the lives of His children. It says ‘the desolation of many generations’, it is as if God is just expanding our thinking capacity and letting us see the great vision, the way He sees and the way He thinks. He is saying the desolation of many generations, even if there are things that have lingered on for generations, we see our God is a God who can deliver, restore, repair, and rebuild such ruins. A classic example is the life of Nehemiah, when he went to repair the walls of Jerusalem, we know that the situation had lasted for at least 2 decades or more. He was somebody who stepped into a situation that no one else had dared to change, but that courage that Nehemiah had came from God. He believed that he could rebuild the walls of an ancient, and very important city and by God’s grace he was able to do it. Similarly, I am sure that God wants each one of us to be repairers, rebuilders, and restorers of many lives around us.

Let’s pray together, Father, we thank you, for the hope which we have in you and the hope that you release through us for others. We pray that we will see your vision and make a great impact the way you dream for us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
