Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much once again for giving us this opportunity to spend these moments in God’s word and prayer. John chapter 6, verses 10 through 13, ‘Then Jesus said, “Make the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in the place. So, the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples, and the disciples to those sitting down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they wanted. So, when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.” Therefore, they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.’ This miracle is where Jesus feeds 5000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Jesus knew what miracle He was going to perform but He wanted to use this opportunity as a teaching moment for His disciples. For Jesus, this was not just about getting the task done, but it was also teaching the disciples along the way. Philip had already seen Jesus do many miracles and there should have been no question to him about the divine resources that Jesus had. Their problem was at least in two parts. First, they didn’t have resources to buy bread and feed the multitude. Second, even if they had the money, it would be impossible to purchase enough bread to feed them all. Philip’s knowledge of the situation was accurate and impressive. He was a man with figures, he believed into what he could put into tables and statistics. 5 barley loaves and 2 small fish wasn’t much to work with but God doesn’t need much. In fact, God doesn’t need any help but He deliberately often uses whatever is there to multiply it. Jesus was in no panic and in no hurry. He had a huge catering job to fulfill but went about His work in an orderly way, making them sit down on the grass. Jesus administered everything in an orderly manner. Yet, they had to come under Jesus’ order to receive the miraculous provision. The miracle resided in the hands of Jesus and not in the distribution. Little is much in God’s hands. The disciples didn’t do the miracle, they simply distributed the miraculous work of Jesus. Everyone ate and was filled but had no idea that a miracle was happening. Jesus relied on the labor of His disciples for this great miracle. He could have created bread and fish in the pocket or in the bag of every person but He didn’t do that. Jesus deliberately chose a method that brought the disciples into the work. Jesus was generous but He was never wasteful. Jesus wanted to make good use of everything. The fragments of 12 baskets full are not half eaten morsels and crumbs which are leftovers for the birds of the air and the beasts but the broken portions of bread which were distributed among the 5000. This miracle teaches us to know that when we bring our small amounts to Jesus, He uses them and distributes them to be a blessing to thousands and thousands of people. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for this word that we have just read and we thank you that you are a God who doesn’t need much, with the little that we have, you can multiply it to bless thousands of people. We pray that whatever we have, we will surrender at your feet. You multiply it in our lives and use it for your glory. Teach us, empower us and lead us, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
