Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Shalom and welcome to this episode of Living Supernaturally. Through this entire series, we have looked at the ‘one another’ commands, a lot of instructions and commands for us to have healthy and good and positive relationships. Today, we look at the last one among many that we may not have looked into, but I consider as one among the most important ones which would be to pray for one another. Reading from scripture, James chapter 5, verse 16, ‘confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.’ The command to pray for one another has so many benefits. I would like to just bring about a couple of benefits and a couple of ways that we could really practically use this command. Praying for one another unites us in our relationships. When you pray for one another, it removes your isolation. Sometimes, we have struggles and we think and we feel that we may need to go through all of that on our own and that makes us feel isolated, but when we share our pain, it invites someone else into that place of our hearts, that they stand alongside us when they hear our emotions, when they hear our pain, they stand alongside with us to come to God in prayer and bring about those concerns. When we pray and see those answered prayers, we find that it draws us closer in those relationships. Praying for your spouse or for your child or for a friend actually helps them see how much you love them and when you offer to pray for someone, it is a very powerful gift that you are offering them. So, prayer unites relationships. Another benefit that we see is prayer lightens burdens. A command that is given to us is to bear one another’s burdens and it is a loving act to join with them in taking their pain to the heart of God. We may sometimes promise to pray for someone but what a powerful gesture it would be to seize that moment and pray with them then and there. In doing so, what you are doing is uniting with them, before the throne of God and demonstrating the power of God coming over. The other benefit that we see is that prayer makes a difference and taps into God’s power. We see that God’s power is seen when people join together in prayer. We know that familiar verse that says that when two or three are gathered in His name, He is there in their midst. It is the power of God that is unleashed there to see miracles, to see healing, to see deliverance, to see breakthroughs. Praying for one another releases God’s power into so many areas of our lives. We see an example of this in John chapter 17, where Jesus prayed to the Father for His disciples and we see that Jesus prayed for their protection, for their consecration, for their unity of them as believers, He prays that they are kept away from evil, He prays that they are sanctified in the truth. Jesus showed us that example by praying for the disciples and for all who would follow Him. Who would need your intercession today? Who would need your prayer today? Maybe it is a good idea to just give them a call or go have a visit and pray alongside them. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, I thank you for all eyes and heads that are bowed before you today. I pray for the needs of each one listening today, thank you because your power is there and present for every healing, for every deliverance, for everything that captures us. Thank you that strongholds are broken, in Jesus’ name we release your power and may miracles be sent forth today, thank you for your love for each one of us, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
