Hello everyone, thank you for connecting once again. Let’s continue to talk about planning and planning well. Here are some instructions from scripture and some good practices that we can learn from experience that can be applied. When we talk about planning, the right way to do it is to be led by God especially when it comes to very important matters of our life. We read in Psalm chapter 32, verse 8, God says, ‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.’ God is able to guide us, speak to us and through the spirit senses that God has given us, we can perceive what God is wanting to tell us and to put ourselves in that position of seeking God and then going ahead, especially with important life decisions is so very key. Seeking God is the first and best step as far as planning is concerned. Of course, there can be matters where by life experience and wisdom and based on the instruction of God’s word, we can take some steps and we will still see fruitfulness. But, seeking the Lord and His word is so very important. Another important thing that would help us in planning well is to prioritize. We know that energy and the time that we are given is quite limited and we must make the most use of what we have been given. For this, if we invest our time and energy in things that are necessary and important, we can do so much more and we can avoid time wasters, energy wasters and so, it is important to prioritize and have a focus. It would also really help as far as our skills are concerned for us to put our efforts where God has graced us with a certain gifting/ skill and we sharpen it further. When we sharpen the skills that we have, we again end up being quicker, efficient and save time and energy. There is a scripture in Ecclesiastes chapter 10, verse 10, ‘If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.’ Prioritizing, investing into the right things and investing into our skills is so very helpful. In addition to these things, it is helpful for us to learn to plan long-term for things concerning major decisions in our lives and we may also need to have certain short-term plans that can help. In all these practical ways, applying some of the tools we would be able to maximize the opportunities and gifts that God has given us. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your leading and the instruction of scripture that as we walk in it, we make our way prosperous. Help us to apply the wisdom of your word and thrive in all areas of our lives, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
