Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone, I trust that you are doing well and that you are enjoying the power of God’s word in your life. Today, I want to talk about a devoted heart and one of the features of the devoted heart is to be persevering or to not give up. A persevering heart is so important in our journey with the Lord, it is so important for us to see the manifestation of all that God has in store for us. When we look at Luke chapter 18 and verse 1, we are reminded there in the context of prayer, Jesus said, ‘Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.’ He goes ahead and shares this parable about a woman who wouldn’t give up, she would pester a wicked ruler for justice and because she was so persistent and persevering, it actually happened, but then Jesus went on to make a comparison with God and said that God is good, God is not like that wicked ruler and you don’t even have to pester Him to get what He already wills for us. Us having a good God and standing on the promises of God, it is easy to trust Him and continue to persevere in order to see things fulfill. I want to encourage us friends, that we would have a persevering heart; the opposite of that would be a heart that is weary, tired and ready to give up but instead of that if we can hold on and trust God that whatever He has spoken, He will fulfill, we will surely see the glory of God. Waiting is such a part in the kingdom of God not because God is slow to fulfill His promises but because there are so many other reasons. We live in a world where satan is roaming about like a roaring lion and he wants to afflict God’ people. We live in a world with delays for various other reasons and because of all these things, sometimes, it can get pretty tough to stay put and keep our faith in what God has spoken. However, waiting is valuable and waiting in faith is valuable; it is not a passive activity but it is an active one where we are truly trusting God to come through for us. I want to remind us that there are wonderful things that people received when they waited. We know that the disciples waited for 10 days after the Lord Jesus ascended up in to heaven and He had promised them the powerful baptism in the Holy spirit, so they waited on the Lord and it finally happened. We see that Elijah, is a fantastic example of a man who trusted God and waited for that word that he received to actually become real in the natural. He prayed even seven times for the cloud to be formed and the rains to pour upon the people and it happened. It really shows us that he was a man who knew the power of prayer and didn’t think that it was something abnormal to keep pressing in, in prayer towards God. Looking at all these people, I just want to stir us up and I want to encourage us to continue to pursue the Lord, partner with God, don’t grow weary, don’t give up, our answer is very much ahead of us because God is faithful to His promises. Have a persevering heart! Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you that your word is truth. We thank you that you who called us is faithful and we pray that you will give us the strength to keep pressing on and to finish the race in a glorious way, we give you thanks and praise, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
