Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Greetings and thank you so much for the joy of coming to you today, this every special day, Christmas day, 2023 and we extend a wonderful, joyous Christmas greeting you to from all of us here at All People’s church. Wherever you are listening to this daily devotional, may the joy and peace that Christ brings build our lives, fill our hearts and minds this season. This week, we are reflecting and meditating on Jesus being the price of peace and how can we receive and experience and walk in the peace that He came to give to us. So, we want to look at that a little each day. In John chapter 14, verse 27, the Lord Jesus announced this, He said, ‘Peace, I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.’ So, the Lord Jesus is announcing and making available to us peace that He provides to us and He is telling us that the peace that He gives is a different kind of peace, it is not what the world can give and it is not given in the way the world would give it. In both its quality and the way, it is administered to us, the peace that Jesus gives is very different from what the world is supposed to give to us. So, Jesus says, if you are able to walk in my peace, then you don’t have to be troubled and fearful. Imagine being in a place where you are not troubled/ disturbed/ affected by the things that would otherwise disrupt our lives and when you are not in a state of panic, or being anxious, not fearful, not afraid, not living in that place controlled by this tormenting presence of fear. How can that be possible? It is in the peace that the Lord Jesus gives. The Passon translation renders this verse, Jesus saying, ‘Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace.’ The peace given by the world is fragile, temporal and goes away, but His peace is enduring, perfect and covers everything. I want to encourage us this Christmas season, we try to look to Jesus and receive this kind of peace which He administers into our lives. May we be able to live in that peace as we journey through the days ahead, we will learn how to do that. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that the Lord Jesus is our prince of peace, that He gives to us peace that is so different from what the world can give to us. We ask that you will hep us step in to live in this perfect peace which Jesus gave. Help us to dwell in it, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
