Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello everyone and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for joining us and spending these few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are talking about praise and the different aspects of praise. Nehemiah chapter 12 and verse 43, ‘they offered great sacrifices, rejoicing because God has given them great joy… the sound of rejoicing in Jerusalem could be heard far away.’ The big evet in Jerusalem was the dedication of the completed wall. It was time to celebrate and let all the nations know who was responsible. Few days back this wall was broken down and the gates were burnt. Nehemiah decided to celebrate what God is doing. Nehemiah split the many singers and musicians into two groups, like two great marching bands, one choir with cymbals and the other instruments paraded up the steps of the city of David. The second choir proceeded in the opposite direction; Nehemiah followed the glad spirit. Once the two choirs met up at the house of God, the people erupted with joyful praise that could be heard miles away, every person joined in this praise parade. God was worthy of all their praise and nothing could stop them, a performance of joyous dedication. Joy is not dependent on outward circumstances but upon inward choices. The emphasis at this concluding celebration is one of unqualified joy. One can only imagine the emotional impact of that procession not only for Nehemiah but the entire team, who would see it as a triumphant conclusion of this major task, where everyone put their hands together to complete this task. This is a beautiful picture of oneness, the nation of Israel. God was constantly seeking to teach these people that they belonged to each other. They were not individualists doing their own thing but they were coworkers together with God. We also see a similar account in the book of Joshua where praise brought victory. The walls of Jericho stood tall and strong as they were set to win the land of Canaan. The fallen walls of Jericho became a key affirmation that God was fulfilling His promise to them and that God would be with them until they took possession of that promise land. Maybe there are walls that we have built around us, walls of fear, walls of guilt, pride, anger, jealously, self but let your praise break those walls down. Each day we have the opportunity, join the gospel parade to sing our praises to God. Let your praise of Jesus echo through your hearts and through your voice. Psalm chapter 107, verses 1 and 2 says this, ‘give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever, let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story.’ Are you ready to praise Him and tell your story? Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that praise is a powerful weapon that you have given us and even as we have studied today that through the circumstances, praise can build walls and praise can break them down as well. Lord, we thank you, help us to praise you in our hearts, in our mind, with our mouths, we thank you Father, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
