Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Welcome to Living Supernaturally. We are so glad that you could tune in and be part of this daily devotion of All People’s Church. Today, we are taking time to look at what could be the Christian to-do’ list and we are in Romans chapter 12, where Paul writes some basic instruction to the believer and this can be part of our ‘to-do’ list today. This is what he writes in Romans chapter 12, verse 11, ‘not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.’ In other words, he is saying, do not be lagging in diligence, be fervent in spirit as you serve the Lord. What is diligence? Diligence is continued, consistent and careful effort that is put in towards any work. Paul is saying, don’t be delaying in that or don’t be slow to respond or react when it comes to the work that you are called to do or work that is at hand. So, don’t be lagging in diligence, don’t delay, don’t procrastinate, don’t be complacent in that. So, let your work be with diligence. What does fervent mean? Fervent means to boil over. When we boil something, it will be so red hot, it just boils over. It says, be fervent in your spirit, don’t be lagging in diligence when it comes to serving the Lord or whatever work you have at hand, but be fervent in spirit, let things boil and be red hot almost to the point of boiling over. Spirit means your inner man, thoughts, our mental disposition, our attitude- be fervent. When it comes to serving the Lord, serve the Lord with such an attitude or a mental disposition. Galatians chapter 6, verse 9 says, ‘let us not grow weary while doing good.’ These are good instruction and it can be part of our ‘to-do’ list. But what really causes us to slow down? What causes us to lag in diligence? It is when we don’t have clarity in the vision, or in the big picture we are pursuing, then we will slow down, we will back off, we will get distracted and we will be lagging in diligence and that same thing also causes us to be become discouraged and not be fervent in spirit and we could cool down. Here it says in Galatians chapter 6, verse 7 to 9 says, ‘Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life and let us not grow weary while doing good.’ We are called to be diligent and fervent, let us not become weary. Discouragement and sin cause weariness in our lives. So, let us not grow weary while doing good. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you for this instruction. We thank you that you have called us to be diligent, to be fervent in spirit while we serve you. We pray that whatever comes against this diligence, whatever clarity of vision that we require, whatever sin that we need to distance ourselves from, that causes us to grow weary and discouraged because we see those fleshly lusts war against the soul. So, enable us and give us the wisdom to keep away from these things, that we might pursue the call and be fervent in our spirit while we serve you, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
