Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Meditation (Daily Devotional)

by Sis Jean George

Shalom and thank you for joining us for this series of Living Supernaturally, where we are meditating on how we can activate God’s presence in our lives. We looked yesterday at the attribute of God, that God is omnipresent meaning He is everywhere, at all times. Today, as we go forward, we will meditate on how we can position ourselves to be more aware and activate the presence of God. One of the ways that we see is meditation. Meditation is the means by which we increase our awareness of God’s presence in our lives. It differs from what you maybe hearing about meditation, of the fact that you have to empty your mind or become detached but in mediating on God’s word, we are filling our minds with God and becoming more attached to Him. When we meditate on His word, we become aware of who God is, we are aware of His character, His attributes and that increases our awareness and activates His presence into our lives. Joshua chapter 1, verses 8 and 9 reads, ‘This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage. Do not be afraid nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”’ We see that right before God told Joshua He would be with Him in verse 9, He gives them this instruction- keep this book of the law always on your lips, meditate on it day and night so that you maybe careful to do everything it says. To mediate on something is to think about it continuously. When we take God’s word in our mind and chew on it for lengthy times, God Himself and His will is before us. His word will raise our awareness of Him as we meditate on the word. Mediation of God’s word is just not about reading but it is going deeper, slower, focusing into the truth of God’s word and letting it sink in and as we gain a deeper understanding of who God is and His plan for our lives, we become to sense the presence of God in our lives. This helps us to connect with God in a very profound and tangible way. When we quieten ourselves in His word, we are in a place where we receive more of His presence. Take time to regularly meditate on God’s word because it will bring us a deeper awareness of His love and His presence in our lives. Meditating on His word is a powerful tool for activating His presence in our lives, He becomes real to us as we continue to mediate in and learn His word. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for your word that you have given us. As we spend time to the deep truths of your word, of who you are, we desire so much that you will make yourself known to us. Thank you, Lord, that you have promised in your word that you will abide with us as we seek you. Thank you for your goodness over our lives. May we feel your presence in a more tangible way, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
