Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity once again to minister God's word and spend a few moments in prayer. We've come to the last day of this week; we've been talking about the glory of God and today we wrap up with living for God's glory. First Corinthians chapter 10, verses 31 to 33, ‘therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the Church of God, just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.’ In his discussion on Christian freedom, the apostle Paul touches on some important principles about following Jesus. While emphasizing our personal freedom in Christ, he urges us that we respect where others are in their spiritual maturity but embedded in this discussion is the most important principle of Christian living. In everything we do, we are to live for God's glory. What is the chief end of man? It answers with a timeless declaration; man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. Every prayer we pray, every thought we think, every action we take, every attitude we express, every word that we say should have the statement stamped on it- to God the glory forever. Keeping the supremacy of God central should be the single desire of each one of us. We often struggle to understand what it means to live for God's glory? Does it mean that I stop work and step into full-time ministry? Does it mean I should sell everything that I have and go into the mission field? God said in Isaiah, everyone who is called by my name, whom I have created for my glory because we are created in the image of God and for His glory, we have the privilege to live for Him in all we do. So, our desire is to live for the glory of God. By default, action seems to be living for lesser things, surviving to pay bills, improving my life circumstances or worst of all, living for my glory or gratification. Now though we all have been created to glorify God because of our sin and rebellion against Him, we live only to glorify and enjoy ourselves. As we grow in glorifying our Lord Jesus, we discover our true lasting joy and purpose is in God alone. Whatever we do today, from the most mundane chore to making the most weightiest decision, do it all for the glory of God. God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. The question is, are we satisfied in Him today? Let us pray, Father, we thank you so much for this week, all that we've been discussing and learning oh God, I pray that we will learn to apply it in our lives. We thank you that your glory surrounds us, your glory will fill us Lord, your glory is upon us. We believe that it will only increase and we thank you for your presence, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
