Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello and thank you once again for the opportunity to come and spend these few moments with you this day and pray with you. As we are meditating on this theme, total shalom or perfect peace, we are trying to understand how we can live in a place of perfect peace and various aspects of that as presented to us in scripture. We are going back to John chapter 16, verse 33, and I want to highlight another aspect from that verse, Jesus said, ‘These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.’ I want to emphasize the early part of that scripture. Jesus said, ‘These things I have spoken to you.’ In other words, I have given you all of these teachings, truths and my word, these things I have spoken to you so that in me, you may have peace. So, He is saying, look, get a grip on my words, on all that I have taught you and spoken to you and I have intentionally spoken all these things to you so that in me, you can experience total shalom and peace that comes from God. When we said shalom, we mean total wellbeing in every aspect of life. He said, in the world you will have tribulation, the world is going to throw things at you that will hurt, cause pain and turmoil but He said, look, I have given you my word and spoken to you so that in me you can have peace. That teaches me something that if I take a hold of the word of God, the teachings of Jesus and begin to live by that word, whatever Jesus taught us; I just live that and practice it and do it then I can be in this place of having perfect peace in Him. So, when there is tribulation all around and all kinds of things happening, just go back to the word and say, I’m going to the word and I say, I’m going to do the sayings of Jesus, I’m going to do what the Lord Jesus has taught me because He said, these things I have spoken to you so that in me you have peace. I’m going to tighten my grip on His word, I’m going to be more deliberate in my practice of His word because if I live by that word and do the things that Jesus taught us and do the things of having faith in God and loving people and walking in the truth that He has given, I’m going to find myself living in the peace that is in Him, in Christ. So, that a key that we must practice. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for this place of total shalom. We ask that you help us take a hold of the sayings and the teachings of the Lord, what is put in the word of God and be determined to live by it so that we can live in the peace that is in Jesus Christ, in Jesus’s name, Amen.
