Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Invited (Daily Devotional)

by Ps Nancy Ramya

Welcome everyone, thank you for joining in again. We are talking about knowing God in a deep way. We’ve been designed to be intimate with the Lord and we are seeing examples of people like Moses and David who desired more of God, they experienced more of God and as part of their life experience, it is also evident that the closer they went to God, the more they wanted Him. Today, I just want to continue along these lines. We see that God wants us to come close to Him and He wants to reveal Himself to us and the more we get to know Him, the greater our desire will be to know Him even more. In John chapter 17 and verse 3, the Amplified version reads, ‘Now, this is eternal life that they may know you, the only true (supreme and sovereign) God, and (in the same manner know) Jesus (as the) Christ whom you have sent.’ God wants us to know Him. He is not a God who created us and hid Himself away. God has revealed Himself in creation. We read about that in the book of Romans and God always wanted to walk with man and show His purposes, His heart to man. Here in this passage, we notice that there is an invitation where God is telling us very plainly that this is eternal life that we may know Him and also His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, God wants us to know Him. God in fact revealed Himself in the best way through the life of the Lord Jesus Christ. We see in John chapter 1 and verse 14, ‘And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.’ Jesus came in flesh and blood to reveal the Father to us, to show us what the Father is like, what the Father thinks and how He works in various situations, circumstances, God’s heart of love and compassion, His justice, His righteousness and all of these things. As we look at the life of Jesus, we can understand who God is. Here is the thing, God didn’t want to hide this from us, He wanted to reveal it and that is why Jesus came, Jesus came to reveal God to us. We can see here that God wants us to know Him. This is the eternal life that we may know Him and that we may know His Son. How do we go about knowing this God? Through the Lord Jesus. When we see the life of Jesus, and we accept the salvation that Jesus has to offer, we come to this place, where we are able to understand God better and in a deeper way. The word of God has been given for us to continually know the nature of God, the character of God. When we read the Bible, it is not an exercise which is ritualistic, it is not something that needs to be done every day because it is supposed to be done but the means that God has given us is to know Him and Scriptures reveal God to us, His Holy Spirit reveals God to us. Let us be on this journey to know God better and know Him in a deeper way because He has invited us. Let’s pray together, Heavenly Father, we thank you for all that we know about you. We know that you want us to discover deeper and greater truths. Lord, help us to make this journey, let your word come alive, let the work of the Holy Spirit be very real, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
