Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hello friends, so happy to meet you. We are learning about changing to grow. Growth does not come without change and we have to be willing to make that change. Today, I want to focus in on the fact that we must remain hungry for God. Without hunger, we can box ourselves in a position where we think that we know everything, or we have experienced everything with God and that there is nothing more to experience in Him, but that's a very dangerous place. Any time we come to this conclusion that we have arrived; we are actually in for a downward spiral and that is a sad thing that could happen to anyone. So, we have to stay clear from that and always maintain a spirit of hunger before the Lord. Isaiah chapter 44 verse three says this ‘for I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit on your descendants, and my blessing on your offspring.’ God is in the business of pouring out, or God is in the business of supplying to the one who is in need. He would like to pour out on the person who is thirsty, He would like to pour out on the dry ground. Now, both of these terms are referring to a state of hunger, referring to a state of need and this is a mindset where we say God, there is so much more of you that I have not yet known, and I want you to reveal yourself to me. It's that mindset which asks God to come and work some more and that's the hunger that we're talking about. Even in the sermon on the Mount, Jesus said that blessed are they who are thirsty because they will be filled. We have to maintain that state of hunger in our walk with the Lord. No matter how much we have experienced with God, there's always more to know, there's always more to experience and we are reminded time and again, that we must be filled with the Spirit, be filled with the Spirit, walk in the Spirit. Every day, every moment, when we are hungry, we can be sure that God continues to fill us, God continues to pour out His revelation, pour out His blessings, pour out the new things that He wants to do into us and that is a place of growth. Growth begins when we recognize that we are always needy, no matter how much we have walked forward with God. I just want to stop with Jeremiah chapter 29 and verse 13, which says that ‘when we seek Him with all our hearts, we will find Him.’ Let us seek the Lord with all our hearts, let us hunger after Him with all our hearts. Let's pray together, Heavenly Father, it's so amazing that God, you are infinite and that there is just no end to knowing you. We pray God that you will reveal more of yourself to us. We give ourselves Lord in that place of continual hunger and thirst for you, continue to work in us, in Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
