Daily Devotional church in Bangalore

Daily Devotions for Spirit Filled Living

God's Word is spiritual food and nourishment. The Bible uses many metaphors: bread, milk, meat, food, water, honey, seed, rain, light, lamp, gold, sword, etc. for itself. God's Word is the basis for our faith. It is God's power at work in our lives. As you receive God's Word expect to receive wisdom and guidance. Expect to be healed, delivered, transformed. Expect God's supernatural power to work miracles in your life. His Word never return void or unfulfilled.

Each daily devotion is about five minutes in duration. We have intentionally developed the daily devotions around a weekly theme. So there are seven days of daily devotions that focus on the theme and bring you insight, understanding and revelation from the Bible. Each week's theme is listed as a series. So you can listen to the current week's daily devotions or go to any previous theme/series that speaks to your present need.

You can watch the video or download and listen to the audio. Almost all daily devotions end with a prayer. You can access these from this page as well as from the Home page of this website.

All our daily devotions are also available on our free church App for you to listen on your mobile device. Download our free church App from App or Google Play stores. Search for "All Peoples Church Bangalore".

Hi everyone and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you for taking this time to join us and giving us this opportunity to spend a few moments in God’s word and prayer. We have been talking about trials and challenges and how God always comes through for us. Mark chapter 6, verses 46 through 51, ‘And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray. Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by. And when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately He talked with them and said to them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled.’ The sea of Galilee is known for its raging storms and many of Jesus’ disciples were seasoned fishermen, so it would seem the disciples would have been prepared, but things were happening beyond their control. Storm winds were raging as Jesus’ disciples fought to keep the boat afloat. Jesus saw their struggle from afar and walked out to them on the wild waves. When they saw Him, they were terrified, thinking He was a ghost on that stormy sea. Jesus could have remained on the shore and commanded the winds to tame down. Quieting the sea first might have made Him walking up there much easier, but instead Jesus joined His disciples in the turbulence, took the most difficult route and then climbed into the rocking boat to be with them. ‘Don’t be afraid’, He said before calming the storm. Most of us tend to panic when storms hit, a marital breakdown, unemployment, illness, depression, addictions, whatever are the crisis around us and we wonder if Jesus knows we are in this boat, caught in a storm. Like the disciples, we have the tendency to become fearful and doubt. Jesus doesn’t take people out into the middle of the sea to drown them, He takes people across the sea so that they can participate in this work of redemption. He doesn’t stand far off to do this, No! He enters the darkness; He enters the suffering of the world and He transforms it from within. The enemy can use any storm to make you and I anxious, afraid, hurt and discouraged. God can use it to make you fearless, secure and steadfast. Relief from the storm is not the best thing that can happen to us, the best thing that can happen to us is that we are conformed to the image of Jesus Christ. The storm is not where you face the enemy, the storm is where you meet your God, so we do not lose heart. What a joy that is! Let us pray, Father, we thank you, we thank you Lord Jesus that you walked on the waters, that you came into this world, into the evil and you overcome the storms for us. Thank you that we have this assurance that even in the middle of the storms, you are there with us, you will never leave our hand, you will never let us go, we thank you Jesus, we give you all the praise and glory, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
